    Q
Is it safe to use the Advion Cockroach Gel Bait if I have respiratory problems?
I have asthma and get upper respiratory infections (bronchitis) is this product safe to use with these issues?
    A

Since you are applying a gel and not a spray, there is nothing released into the air, so there should not be any respiratory issues when applying Advion Roach Bait Gel.  That said, if you have any health concerns, it is always recommended to consult your doctor before applying this or any other product.

    Q
How long before you will find dead roaches using Advion Cockroach Gel Bait?
How long will it go after applying Advion gel that you will find dead roaches
    A

You will not always see dead roaches after using Advion Cockroach Gel Bait.  This is because roaches are going to die where ever they die and this could be behind cabinets, in wall voids, or other areas inaccessible to you.  You want to continue to bait as long as you see activity.  With a heavy infestation, you can expect several weeks before you see full results. Please take a few moments to read our roach control article for more information on a complete roach treatment.

    A

Yes, when used as directed it is safe to use Advion Roach Bait Gel in areas that you would cook and eat as long as it does not contact food prep surfaces or dishes/utensils. Food should be stored in airtight containers. We have a great video here that shows where to apply the bait. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article and videos on How to Get Rid of Roaches for more helpful information.

  • Asked by Guadalupe from Ca

    Q
Does Advion Cockroach Gel Bait kill roaches? How long does it take to kill them?
    Or what does it do?
    A

Yes, Advion Cockroach Gel Bait kills roaches. Advion Roach Bait Gel is a slow kill so that it has time to be taken back to the colony and spread. Roaches can start dying within a few hours to longer. How long it takes to eliminate a roach infestation depends on how large the infestation is, how consistent and thorough you are being with treatments and what products you are using. There is not a set time; it can take but it can take weeks or months even to get complete control. Advion Roach Bait is typically not used alone but in combination with other products. We would recommend one of our roach control kits. You can see the kits by clicking on the link here. We also have a great article for eliminating them that can offer some great advice; you can find it here.

    Q
Can I place dabs of Advion in the boxes and totes that I pack when I move?
I'm moving from home that is infested with roaches.
    A

Yes, you could apply roach bait like Advion Cockroach Bait Gel in or on furniture, boxes, or other items that are being moved. Another option for use in sealed containers is Nuvan ProStrips, especially if items will be stored for several weeks or months. Nuvan ProStrips release a short-acting insecticide continually for up to 4 months to target roaches, bed bugs, and many other common insect pests. We have more tips in our Roach Prevention Guide here

  • Asked by Ms. from Long Beach, Ca

    Q
Can cockroaches become resistant to Advion Roach Bait Gel over time?
Is this possible? If so, what should I do now to kill the new roaches? If not, what should I do differently now to make sure the gel is effective?
    A

Yes, roaches can become resistant to Advion Roach Bait Gel (or any other roach bait gel) over time if the same active ingredient is continuously used.  We do recommend switching up roach bait gels periodically so that this does not happen. Please take a look at our selection of roach bait gels for some other options. Roaches are a persistent pest and require multiple treatments using a combination of products in order to be completely eradicated. Please see our Roach Control Guide for step by step instructions on how to do a full treatment.

    Q
What happens if old Advion Cockroach Gel Bait is not removed?
I applied Advion Roach Gel Bait two week ago with two results and I've read that you have to remove old gel before applying new gel. I understand the need to remove the old gel so that the roaches will be attracted to the fresh one, but if I don't intend to re-apply and I don't remove the old gel, will it cause problems?
    A

The only real con to leaving old Advion Cockroach Gel Bait in place is that it can become very hard to remove from the surface it was applied to.

    Q
Can Advion Cockroach Gel Bait attract others nearby
I live in an apartment complex so I wasn't sure if it would attract even more from others apartments to mine if I used it
    A

Advion Cockroach Gel Bait only attracts roaches that are already in the area.  It can help with roaches in other units as it will be carried back to the colony and spread whereever that is on roaches that eat it.

  • Asked by Autumn from Columbia

    Q
Will Demon WP impact the effectiveness of Advion Cockroach Gel Bait ?
I used the Demon WP spray this past Sunday (Aug.4th) and am still seeing roaches as if the product didn't have any impact on them. Will the roaches still come if I place the bait where I have sprayed (ex. cabinets or anywhere along the kitchen floor)?
    A

Demon WP should not be applied in areas where Advion Cockroach Gel Bait  has been applied. The rule of thumb is to spray low (baseboards, cracks, crevices) and bait high (cabinets, countertops).
