    Q
How long after applying Alligare Triclopyr 4 Herbicide is the application rainfast?
It rained about 10 hours after I applied TRICLOPYR 4 on the lawn. Will the product be effective, or is 10 hours too little time before rain fall for the product to work? What is the minimum number of hours after which rain won't hinder effectiveness?
    A
Alligare Triclopyr 4 Herbicide is rainfast after 4-6 hours. While it is typically best to allow 24 hrs before rainfall is expected after applying a herbicide like Alligare Triclopyr 4 Herbicide, as long as the application has had enough time to completely dried it should not affect the results.

    Q
What is the rate of Alligare Triclopyr 4 Herbicide per gallon of water for spot spraying Sericea lespedeza?
Mix 3/8 to ¾ fluid ounces of Alligare Triclopyr 4 per 1000 square feet in enough water to provide uniform coverage of the target area and apply at any time broadleaf weeds are susceptible.
    A

For spot treatments with Alligare Triclopyr 4 Herbicide, the product label states to mix 3/8 to ¾ fluid ounces of Alligare Triclopyr 4 per in enough water to provide uniform coverage of a 1000 square feet area and apply at any time broadleaf weeds are susceptible.

Note: The water is only acting as the carrier therefore if it takes 1 gallon or 2 gallons of water to cover the 1000 sq ft does not matter, as long as you are able to have uniform coverage.

    Q
Can triclopyr be used to kill bermudagrass and bahiagrass in a TTF lawn?
I have several customers with tall fescue lawns that are infested with bahiagrass and some bermudagrass. Since the label for triclopyr says it shouldn't be sprayed on bahiagrass or bermudagrass does that mean that it will kill it?
    A
The label states to not apply Alligare Triclopyr 4 Herbicide - 2.5 gal. to Bermudagrass or Bahia unless injury can be tolerated. These grasses are sensitive to this product, and there is a high chance injury/killing it.

    A

pressure (20-40 PSI) Spray the basal parts of brush and tree trunks to a height of 12 to 15
inches from the ground Thorough wetting is necessary for good control Spray until runoff

bark Apply at any time, including the winter months, except when snow or water prevents
    spraying to the ground line.
Low Volume Basal Bark Treatment - To control susceptible woody plants with stems less
than 6 inches in basal diameter, mix 20 to 30 gallons of Alligare Triclopyr 4 in enough oil to
make 100 gallons of spray solution Apply with a back pack or knapsack sprayer using low
pressure and a solid cone or flat fan nozzle. Spray the basal parts of brush and tree trunks
in a manner which thoroughly wets the lower stems, including the root collar area, but not to
the point of runoff Herbicide concentration should vary with size and susceptibility of species
treated Apply at any time, including the winter months, except when snow or water prevents
