    Q
Can you mix Alpine WSG with Permacap CS, or Cyzmic CS?
    A

While there is a not a specific indication on the Alpine WSG label that you cannot mix it with other insecticides, we do not recommend mixing Alpine WSG with another residual insecticide such as Permacap CS or Cyzmic CS. This is because the Alpine WSG is a non-repellent insecticide, so mixing it with another residual insecticide would negate those non-repellent/transfer effects for social insects such as ants. Depending on the target pets(s), using these products in rotation would be more practical.

    Q
Would Alpine WSG work for Indian meal moths?
I know the label says that it alpine wsg kills stored product pests. Does that include Indian meal moths?
    A

We do not recommend using Alpine WSG for treating Indian Meal Moths since they are not specifically listed on the product label.

When treating for Indian Meal Moths, we would recommend using our Pantry Pest Kit that contains D Fense NXT Aerosol and Pheromone Traps that can be used in combination to eliminate an infestation .

Do not use more than 2 Pheremone Traps at one time in the home as this will overstimulate the moths and cause confusion preventing them from locating the trap.

View our Indian Meal Moth Guide for more information.

    Q
For an apartment with german roaches, what product would work best in rotation with Alpine WSG?
    A
We suggest that you refer to our Cockroach Treatment Guide, and our Roach Control Kits for a better understanding of what we recommend for successful roach elimination, including non-chemical practices like proper sanitation.  You should be adding a Roach Bait and Roach IGR to your spray treatment with Alpine WSG, if you want to achieve the best results in your roach treatment plan.

    Q
Can Alpine WSG be used for mosquito control if kept off flowering vegetation?
The label says that this can be used for mosquito control. Just want to make sure it's advisable. There is the potential groundwater contamination warning on the label. Would Barricor SP be a better choice?
    A

Alpine WSG is labeled to treat mosquitoes at 20 grams per gallon of water. Per the product label, apply to shrubbery and vegetation where mosquitos may rest around the perimeter of the home. This can also be applied as a direct wet spray to shrubs and vegetation around stagnant pools. marchy areas, ponds, and shorelines.

Do not apply to flowering blooms when bees or pollinators are active in the area as this product is toxic to bees exposed to residues for more than 38 hrs following the treatment.

View our Mosquito Treatment Guide for more information and our Mosquito Control Kits that offer a variety of treatment plans.

    Q
    Mixing question
I don't want to buy a one gallon spray bottle. Can I mix it using a 16 oz spray bottle? If so, how?
    A

Alpine WSG is a solid concentrate - a water-soluble granule - so it is measured in grams or ounces rather than milliliters. You will use 10 g, 20 g, or 30 g of Alpine WSG per gallon of water, depending on the pest you are treating. That would break down to 1.25 g, 2.5 g, or 3.75 g per 16 oz of water. Please refer to the product label for complete mixing and application instructions.

    Q
    Alpine not working
Alpine was sprayed twice but a few roaches survived. I don't think additional spray of Alpine would work. If I want to switch to temprid SC, how long do I need to wait before spraying temprid on the same crack and crevices?
    A

We would recommend waiting 30 days after an application of  Alpine WSG  before applying a secondary product. For best roach control, we would recommend one of our roach control kits. It contains all the products needed for best control.

    Q
Does Alpine WSG remain on porous surfaces after the application?
    A

Yes, Alpine WSG would leave behind some residual on a porous surface, however some will inevitably absorb in as well. When treating exterior surfaces, it is recommended to treat the foundation and soil around the exterior perimeter as well as where utilities enter the home, gaps and voids in siding, around windows, doors and other entry points where insects may enter.

    Q
What rate would I used for Alpine WSG Insecticide in a hose end sprayer?
    A

A hose end sprayer would not be recommended when applying Alpine WSG Insecticide unless you are able to determine how much water the hose end sprayer is putting out every 1000 sq ft.

We recommend using a 1-2 gallon hand pump sprayer to ensure you are using the recommended 1 gallon of water per 1000 sq ft.

Please view the rates per gallon of water below and refer to the product label for full application instructions.

0.1% dilution: 10 grams to 1 gallon of water

0.2% dilution: 20 grams to 1 gallon of water

0.3% dilution: 30 grams to 1 gallon of water

    Q
Can Alpine WSG be mixed with ExciteR for roaches?
    A

Alpine WSG can be mixed with a synergist such as ExciteR Insecticide but it is not generally recommended. ExciteR kills on contact while Alpine WSG leaves a non repellent residual that they take back with them. If you kill them too soon they will not have a chance to take it back with them
