Amtide MSM 60 DF would be great product for you. It contains metsulfuron methyl which is the same active ingredient in Asulox. AmTide MSM 60 DF Herbicide is a dry-flowable granule that will treat for crabgrass and is safe to use on St. Augustine grass.
According to label (page 57) on the AmTide MSM 60 DF Herbicide, For the selective control fo Bahiagrass in Bermudagrass turf, use .25 to .75oz of AmTide MSM 60DF Herbicide per acre. Use the higher rates of the range on Argentine, Common and Paraguayan Bahiagrass. Apply a repeat treatment in 4 to 6 weeks if necessary. Some chlorosis or stunting of the Bremudagrass may occur following the application. It is recommended to use a non-ionic surfactant of at least 80% active ingredient such as Southern AG Surfactant for Herbicides, but this may also effect the stunting of the turf. Please follow the label instructions.
AmTide MSM 60 DF Herbicide is designed to be used in conifer and hardwood tree plantations. We would recommend to use caution if applying around other types of trees. Pleae review the product label before application.
AmTide MSM 60 DF Herbicide is labeled to treat for Kudzu. The dilution rate for Kudzu is 3-4 oz per Acre.
Amtide MSM 60 DF can be applied to St Augustine though you should note some chlorosis or stunting of the turfgrass may occur following the application. Amtide is labeled to control dollarweed though a second application may be required after 4-6 week for complete control. Amtide is not labeled to control violets. The only selective herbicide that can be used on St Augustine and is labeled for both violets and dollarweed that comes to mind is Image 70DG.
