Directions for Use

Pesticide manufacturers may recommend a specific concentration or rate of a specific nonionic surfactant to be used with their product. Follow the pesticide or active ingredient label recommendations on use of surfactant. However, if no such recommendation is on the label, and if the label does not specifically prohibit a surfactant addition to the spray tank, CapSil may be trialed at the following concentrations and rates.

As an adjuvant with herbicides: Apply CapSil at a concentration of 6 - 16 fl. oz. per 100 gallons of spray solution.

As an adjuvant with micronutrients: Apply CapSil at a concentration of 6 - 16 fl. oz. per 100 gallons of spray solution.

As an adjuvant with insecticides/miticides: Apply CapSil at a concentration of 6 - 12 fl. oz. per 100 gallons of spray solution.

As an adjuvant with fungicides: Apply CapSil at a concentration of 6 - 12 fl. oz. per 100 gallons of spray solution.

For use with foliar feed: Apply CapSil to water-soluble fertilizers at the rate of 6 - 12 fl. oz. per 100 gallons of mix.

Cuttings: For use of CapSil on cuttings, such as poinsettia: spray leaf surfaces to run-off or dip cuttings using a solution concentrate of 300 to 600 ppm or about 4 fl. oz. to 8 fl. oz. per 100 gallons (approximately ¼ to ½ teaspoon per gallon).

Mixing instructions

  1. Fill tank 2/3 to 3/4 full of water. If foaming is anticipated, add an anti-foaming agent before adding pesticides and/or CapSil. A “jar test” should be done before tank mixing.
  2. Add pesticide as directed by pesticide label.
  3. Continue Agitation.
  4. Add CapSil and continue filling tank while maintaining agitation.

Q
Is Aquatrols Capsil Spray Adjuvant effective against Take All in St. Augustine turf?
A

Aquatrols Capsil Spray Adjuvant is not a fungicide in any way and would not be used to prevent or treat active disease.  It is a product added to fungicides like Honor Guard PPZ Fungicide with 14.3% Propiconazole or Clearys 3336F Fungicide if needed to help with uniform spreading, penetration, and coverage of foliar directed sprays.  Either of the above mentioned products would be used for take all patch.
