For fogging or ULV applications, Archer Insect Growth Regulator may be applied with equipment such as ULV equipment, mechanical misting sprayers, aerosol generators, or thermal foggers. To prepare the fogging solution, follow the equipment manufacturer's solution preparation instructions. For fogging applications, Archer Insect Growth Regulator may be diluted with water or petroleum distillate. Apply at a rate of 1.5 fl oz (44.3 ml) of Archer Insect Growth Regulator diluted in appropriate carrier per 12,000 cubic feet (340m3). Fogging applications are recommended for larger facilities including food and nonfood warehouses. Close area to be treated and shut off all ventilation systems. Apply the product in the air and direct fog or mist toward all areas that may harbor target pests. After treatment, leave the room closed for 30 minutes or longer as recommended by the equipment manufacturer or the labels of other products applied in tank mixing. Do not remain in treated area. Ventilate the treated area thoroughly before re-entry.
If you are located in an area where the mosquito population is especially high we strongly recommend you add an insect growth regulator to your insecticide spray solution. Insect growth regulators help sterilize the mosquitoes and make some eggs inviable. The addition of the insect growth regulator can also reduce how often you need to reapply products to once every 60 days as the reproduction cycle of the surrounding mosquitoes will have been interrupted.
Archer IGR could be tank mixed with either Bifen IT or Permethrin SFR but the Bifen IT and Permethrin cannot be tank mixed together.
If you are wanting to tank mix a pyrethrin insecticide with a residual insecticide and IGR, you can look at adding Exciter to the tank mix. View the Exciter product label for more information.

Yes, all 3 products can be mixed together for control of insects such as mosquitoes & fleas. You would apply 1 oz of Bifen, 1 oz of Archer IGR, and 0.5 an oz of Exciter. There is no need to water after applying as you are applying the products with water. Generally, only granules need to be watered in after application.
Archer IGR needs to be mixed with a residual insecticide as it will not control anything by itself.
Archer IGR is only toxic to humans if they misuse the product. It does not actually kill insects either; it stops the immature ones from reaching sexual maturity and helps break the reproduction cycle. It does have a residual, which means the actives are still working even when it is dry. You must realize pesticides only contain enough active to effect small insects. You would have to try very hard to misuse the product to cause harm, and we are not sure how one might do it. Please see the label and SDS sheets for info.
Archer IGR applications should be kept at least 25 feet from any body of water and areas of runoff. This product is toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Drift and runoff may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in water adjacent to treated areas.
Archer IGR would be a better choice of the two for outdoor mosquito control. The IGRs help insecticides work better by not allowing mosquitoes to reproduce. We have products to treat standing water but they would kill the larvae
Archer IGR is not known for damaging grass if applied according to the label.
Archer IGR is not labeled for bedbugs. We do offer Gentrol IGR Concentrate that is an insect growth regulator labeled for bedbugs. Here is a great step by step guide (with videos and pro tips) for a successful program.
Archer IGR is safe to use around poultry houses that are unoccupied as directed on the product label. They should be out of the area during treatment until dry, typically at least 4-6 hours.
Archer IGR can be combined with any insecticide labeled for fleas, such as Demand Duo.
