    anchors

    By Matt on 01/25/2017

Do my own pest control is a good store and I have used them before, but this particular product disappointed. It arrived fast, but the anchors are rather short and did not come with the washers or pins shown. I contacted them about that, and was told they would send pins and washers, but I never received them. Yeah you can buy them, but it is just one more hassle for a not so great anchor.

Heavy Rod and Easy to Use

    By Harry on 09/01/2016

This anchor is good quality. I was surprised at how heavy they are, but this is a good thing because they are made from thick metal. I pounded them into the ground with a 5 lbs sledge hammer and they went in easily. I have not tried pulling one out.....it may difficult to pull it out. The flatter 'spike' part appears to be crimped on and I am not sure how it will hold up over time if the anchor is pulled out and pounded into the ground several times.

Q
I have Protecta Landscape Bait Station, do I need an anchor?

Just curious if I needed an anchor with the Landscape Rock.... if so, how many? And do you just shove it through the bottom of the rock?

A
You are not required to use this type of anchor though if you are using the station in areas where dogs or children or larger non-target animals are located, anchoring the stations will prevent the stations from being moved about and should be done. We are checking with the manufacturer now to see if these anchors will work with this particular station and will let you know shortly. As an alternative you should know most professionals use caulk adhesive and glue the stations to patio blocks. (both the adhesive and patio blocks can be purchased from your local home improvement store)

Q
What are the dimensions of the Bait Station Anchors? Are they steel? How are these installed?
A
The steel Bait Station Anchors are 12 x 1.6 x 0.9 inches and weigh approximately 5 ounces. They are installed by puncturing through a bait station and inserted in the soil to secure the station.
