    Q
Is Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Feed safe and effective to prevent spider mites on Junipers?
    A
Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed II is not labeled to control spider mites. We recommend you contact your master gardener at your local cooperative extension office to see what he/she would recommend for you to use as we are not familiar with junipers and we do not want to recommend a product that would cause harm.

I use a similar product from Bayer for my roses and it usually does the trick immediately. my other concern is that I live in MA and it can rain snow and be 80 all on the same day!! when is the best application time especially since there is already signs of discoloration thank you!!
    A
Yes the 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed would work well for control of leafminers in boxwoods. You should check with your local cooerpative extension office for timing as the application timing will vary from region to region.

    Q
Will Bayer Advanced 12 Month TRee & Shrub protect Sago Palms from a white scale infestation?
This problem is prevelant in Fl..
    A
Imidacloprid (the active ingredient in this product) may have some effect on the scales but the Cycad scales the generally infest Sago Palms are known to be quite resistant to the active ingredient. Cycad scales really require a suffocant and a different systemic insecticide to be successfully controlled. We recommend that you treat the foliage with a quick working horticultural oil and then use a product containing dinotefuran such as Safari as a soil drench that will be translocated through the plant.
