It contains Beta-Cyfluthrin and Imidacloprid as its active ingredients which are effective at eliminating these pests even before they hatch. It can provide protection from bed bugs for 30 days and can kill fleas for up to 12 months. It features a non-staining ingredient with no unpleasant smell so it's perfect to use on mattresses, upholstered furniture and luggage. Great for use in your home, kitchen, apartment buildings, nursing homes, and more. Sprays in any angle - even upside down. Product comes in a 15-oz. ready-to-use continuous spray bottle.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

For Indoor Use

  • Do not contact treated surfaces until dry.
  • People and pets may re-enter after the treated area is dry.
  • Remove animal feeding dishes prior to application.
  • Cover exposed food or remove from area being treated.
  • Do not use in small enclosed areas where spray may be inhaled.
  • In the home, cover or thoroughly wash all food processing surfaces and utensils following treatment.
  • Do not apply to furniture or upholstery where prolonged contact with humans will occur.
  • Do not spray bed linens or other materials which come in direct contact with occupants of the bed.

HOW TO USE

Shake well before use. Gently rotate top to open and close. Hold can 12 to 15 inches from the surface to be treated. Press button down and spray until surface is slightly wet but not to the point of run off.

For use in the home, kitchens, apartment buildings, and nursing homes.

WHEN TO USE

Apply when pests are seen or found. Reapply every 7 to 10 days, if needed, until infestation is eliminated.

On infested mattresses, apply as spot treatment only to tufts, seams, folds, and edges until moist; allow mattress to dry before remaking bed. Apply to bedsprings, box springs, and the interior of bed frames or headboards, including all cracks and joints. Apply to cracks and crevices on all baseboards, moldings, beneath floor coverings and carpets, closets, shelves, curtains, furniture, picture frames, and luggage that may harbor bed bugs. TO KILL TICKS AND FLEAS

Apply as a spot treatment on and around pet sleeping quarters, bedding, and pet’s habitat. Treat carpeting, furniture and floor coverings where fleas and ticks are found.

TO KILL LISTED CRAWLING PESTS

Spray around baseboards, into cracks and crevices, and other places where insects live and hide (under sinks, cabinets, refrigerators, stoves, behind and beneath cabinets, damp areas, etc.) until surfaces are wet.

TO KILL ANTS

Apply to ant trails on walls or baseboards, around doors, windows, and wherever ants may enter the home.

Yes Bayer Home Pest Bed Bug and Flea Killer is pet safe as long as you follow the instructions on the label.  Be sure to remove pets out of the area until the product has dried completely. This could take 2-3 hours.

What does it mean that Bayer Home Pest Bed Bug and Flea Killer says it protects from bedbugs for 30 days?

Does that mean once the spray dries it continues killing. When a bedbug goes through a dried treated area, how long does it take to kill it?

Yes, Bayer Home Pest Bed Bug and Flea Killer will leave a residual that will continue to kill those insects that contact a treated area.  It can take a few hours up to 24 or more to do so, depending on a few factors such as age and health, as well as the type of insect, how soon after application they contact the area, and how long they spend on the treated area.

I want to know if i have to vacuum the floor and bed before i use Bayer Home Pest Bed Bug and Flea Killer 15 oz.

When using Bayer Home Pest Bed Bug and Flea Killer 15 oz. you can vaccum before treating.  Be sure to remove the vaccum bag and discard it outside the residence.  You should vaccum daily, or at least every other day, during your treatments.  On infested mattresses, apply as spot treatment only to tufts, seams, folds, and edges until moist; allow mattress to dry before remaking bed. Apply to bedsprings, box springs, and the interior of bed frames or headboards, including all cracks and joints.
