    Q
Will the Bedbug Beacon let me know if I have bed bugs?
I am not sure if I have bed bugs. I have not yet been bit, but I have found two very small black things on my mattress that may have been bugs. If I place the monitor in my bedroom and I do have bedbugs, will I see them dead in it?
    A
The Bedbug Beacon Monitor works best in unoccupied rooms. The Bedbug Beacon Monitor will attract bedbugs that are ready to feed by omitting CO2. The insects will then crawl into the trap and fall into the "pit". Falling into the pit will not actually kill the bugs. If you are not sure if your home is infested and it is occupied you may want to consider having a professional pest control operator inspect the rooms that you suspect may have bedbugs.

    Q
Should I use the Beacon Monitor to trap bed bugs as part of treatment, or is this used only for monitoring?
    A
The Bed Bug Beacon Monitor is really just that, a monitor. This device should be used to monitor unoccupied rooms to see if there is bedbug activity. We do offer other bed bug treatment products on our site, including our Bed Bug Kits.

    Q
How do the bedbugs get into the Bedbug Beacon?
I have read the instructions and watched the video but I am not sure how the bugs get into the traps. Are there holes?
    A
There are two dishes stacked together that are slightly different sizes. The bedbugs crawl up the crevice between the two dishes and fall down into the "pit"

    Q
Is it safe to run the Bed Bug Beacon Monitor for Bed Bugs while I'm also in the room(s)?
I realize it would be a little more effective without me there, but living in a tiny studio but worried leaves me little choice...I assume this doesn't produce enough CO2 to become a problem for my breathing? Thanks
    A

Bed Bug Beacon Monitor for Bed Bugs is best used in unoccupied rooms. While it can be used in occupied rooms as well, the results may not be as quick or as accurate when competition (your breathing and body heat) is in the room.  If you need to stay in the area Pro Pest Bed Bug Monitor TrapsTrappit BB Detector or one of the many other traps we carry would be better options.
