Today we're gonna talk about the B&G Extenda Band Valve. The B&G Extenda Band Valve comes in three different sizes. It comes in the 9 inch size, which is the one I'm holding here. It also come in an 18 inch wand size. And, we also have a 24 inch wand size. All three of them have the exactly the same characteristics.
First, we have the valve handle, which is down here. In the valve handle, we have a screen or filter that's located in the rear, and we have the automatic stop so that you can't accidentally turn the sprayer on when you don't want it to come on. The other thing all three will have in common is the tip assembly. The tip assembly is this unit right here. The tip assembly can have one of two separate tips. This one's loaded with the 4-way tip, and we also have a crack and crevice tip. And the crack and crevice tip is nice because you can take and put a straw inside the crack and crevice tip then put the assembly back together which will give you a way to treat cracks and crevices with your B&G wand, no matter which size you have. If you were ever to take it apart or take the tip assembly off you want to use two crescent wrenches at the same time. If you try to take it apart using one crescent wrench, you will break the wand. There's no doubt about it. It'll twist the wand and it'll be unusable. So, remember that's why it's notched right here for a crescent wrench to hold it steady. Inside the extenda valve, there is a cable which pulls the plunger and the reason for it's significance is that it makes this dripless. So, as soon as you let go of the wand, the plunger closes at the tip of the assembly and no more fluid comes out. Normally in other manufacturers their plunger is up at the front and so whatever liquid is still in the wand, will run out onto the ground or surface where you're spraying.
