Bifen IT will not kill flowers if used as directed.
Bifen IT can be sprayed 3 feet up the side of the house, and 3 feet into the soil all the way around the perimteter foundation of the home. When treating for fleas, you will need to apply under decks, under trees, in places where leaves or other yard debris accumulates or areas where dense shrubbery exists. There is little need to spray open, sunny areas, dry and dusty areas or hard surfaces such as patios or driveways as fleas will not be able to develop in those areas. When treating for noseeums, you want to focus on treating those same areas, along with the understands of tree canopies, interior of shrubs and bushes, and damp areas in your lawn.
Bifen IT or other water based bifenthrins are only available in the 7.9% concentration. If you want higher than thatm the oil based Bifen XTSis the only option.

We recommend that you either wait at least one year before planting edibles where Bifen IT has been sprayed or that you excavate the soil in the area you want to plant. You can also create raised garden beds where you would be bringing in fresh soil media.
Bifen IT should only be applied once every 7 days if you are using the lowest rate. It will not repel insects away or keep them from the area as it is not a true repellent. It is meant to provide a long residual to continue to kill those that contact a treated area for up to 30 days on outside surfaces. If you want a repellent product Mosquito Barrier is an option and can repel for 24 hours up to 30 days.

We do not recommend mixing together two pyrethroids such as Bifen IT and a permethrin product. These products are too similar, and you could create a repellency issue rather than allowing insects to actually contact the treated areas. If you want to add something to Bifen IT for faster intiial knockdown, then we suggest a pyrethrin and/or PBO product such as ExciteR Insecticide.
Yes, you will mix one ounce of Bifen IT and one ounce of Tekko Pro IGR per gallon of water.

When applying Bifen IT outdoors for a variety of insects you are absolutely able to apply it as a broadcast spray. You will need 1 fl oz of product diluted into 1 gallon of water for every 1,000 sq ft of space you need to treat. When you are treating for mosquitoes the key is to apply it to all shrubs, trees, and other foliage around the house or patio where you are trying to provide relief. It should be directed not only on top of the leaves and plants but on the underside of the leaves as well which is where the mosquitoes hang out. This product can also be applied to your lawn, exterior of your home for barrier insect control and indoors to control current infestations. Make applications every 30 days for optimum control.

Bifen IT is specifically labeled for a number of medically significant spiders including Black Widow, Brown Recluse and Hobo Spiders. It is important to remember that Bifen IT does not give an immediate knockdown but instead works over a period of several hours to kill spiders that have come into contact with the product. Bifen IT will also help to get rid of the insects that spiders feed on and that will help to stop new spiders from moving in. Indoors, spray around all baseboards, door frames, window frames, under appliances, in closets and storage rooms and in areas where utilities enter into the structure. Outdoors you should spray around the bottom of the foundation, on the ground adjacent to the foundation, door frames, window frames and places where the utilities enter into the structure. Brown recluse spiders are a bit trickier to eliminate because they often stay hidden in areas where people do not or cannot spray. We recommend that in addition to the Bifen IT, you also use glueboards in areas where spraying would not be appropriate and to help monitor the infestation (cabinets, closets, under furniture, storage areas)
If your vegetables were sprayed Bifen IT, we do recommend to discard them. You should not consume anyting that treated area for one full growing season.
Yes, you can mix an insecticide like BIfen IT and a fungicide together in the same tank as long as niether product label prohibits such mixtures. We suggest a small jar test before mixing a large amount of products together for the first time.
