    Can you use Bifen Granules in your home, and if so what do you use to apply it indoors?
    I have ordered from your company several times, due to my ongoing problem with Springtails. I would like to get rid of them once, and for all so I am considering ordering Bifen Granules. My question is can you use this product in your home, and if so what do you use to apply it indoors? Please answer ASAP, because it has been over a month that I been dealing these horrible creatures! :(

    Bifen granules can not be used indoors as this is a product designed to be watered in after placed down, and this application would not work indoors. You would need the Bifen IT, the concentrate version of the Bifen Granules that can be used indoors and outdoors. You would spray the Bifen inside around baseboards, cracks, crevices, windows and door frames and around plumbing pipes. You would also spray about 2-3 feet up the side of your foundation of your home and 2-3 feet out on the ground, and then create a barrier across the lawn with the Bifen granules. You will need to find the areas in and around your home where there seems to be a moisture issue.     Will this product kill little geckos or lizzards? I don't want to hurt the little guys.

    Bifen Granules will not kill geckos or lizards. This product will kill the insects that the geckos and lizards eat, therefore the geckos and lizards may go find food elsewhere.

    Will a large amount of rainfall decrease effectiveness of the Bifen Granules?
    I put down a 10 foot wide barrier of Bifen granules in the lawn around our house to keep carpenter ants from entering. I planned to take advantage of natural rainfall to water the granules into the lawn. Unfortunately, what was forecast to be rain showers turned out to be 4 inches of rain as measured in our rain gauge. I don't think the water actually ran off and took the insecticide with it. However, will just the large amount of rainfall decrease its effectiveness in the soil? Should I apply another treatment?

    A large amount of rain fall should not take away the effectiveness of Bifen Granules. especially if there was no run off. You would want to reapply in 2 months time.

    What is the best product to get rid of spittlebugs?
    I tried the Bifen granules, but it didn't get rid of them. Would a spray work better? Does it need to be watered in?

    You can water the bifen granules to halp activate the active ingredient. you may also want to look into Hi Yield Bug Blaster 2.4 RTS. This product comes ready to spray just hook your water hose into the bottle and spray. Blug blaster is specifically labeled to treat spittle bugs.

    To kill and control ants, should I put the ant bait stations down first?
    Or do the granules go down first or should I put them down at the same time?

    We would not recommend applying Bifen Granules in the locations where you are setting the bait stations. This may interfere with the bait attractants Please find our article " Advantages of Ant Bait" for more information. Now if you are using a bait station that is not on the ground like Ant NO More, you can apply Bifen near the stations and you would want to apply the granular first.

    Bifen was spread accidently at base of our avocado trees. What are long term effects?
    Can we consume the fruit from the avocado trees? Do we need to replace the mint it was also sprinkled on or leave as is?

    Can the Bifen Granules be used for black widows?
    A
    The Bifen Granules are not labeled for black widows or spider control in general and would not work for your needs. To control black widows or any other spider, you have to not only treat with the appropriate chemicals, like Cyper WP which comes in our Spider Control Kit, but also take the non-chemical steps of eliminating areas around the home that would be perfect living conditions for the spiders.     If I put this on my lawn will this be harmful if my children play outside?

    Bigheaded ants: Need advice as how to treat and which product you have.
    A
    Insecticide granules such as Bifen granules would be a good choice to help control the population of big headed ants as it will last for 3-4 months. Bifen Granules will kill ants that venture on to treated areas.  Another great choice would be to use Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait. This bait is also labeled for big headed ants specifically and would be a great choice for your use. Extinguish Plus combines the power of hydramethylnon with an insect growth regulator (like birth control for ants) to kill big headed ant workers and prevent queens from laying fertile eggs. This product would kill the ants that picked up the bait and also kill the ants back at the colony

    How long will it take to see results once Bifen granules are applied?

    Bifen Granules will kill insects after they come incontact with the treated area. The kill time all depends on what you are treating for. It can take take minutes to hours to kill a pest.

    I have a dog, I was told to spray water after application in my yard, the bag said not to? What should I do?
    My local do it yourself pest control said to add water to kill adult fleas, but the bag said no? What should I do, I don't want to hurt my dog.

    Bifen Granules should be broadcast in the lawn and then watered in and dried before the dog returns to the treated areas. Once the area is completely dried it will be pet safe.

    Can this be used with DeltaGard G Granules?
    I have applied DeltaGard G Granules and need a product to control fleas, is it ok to apply the Bifen Granules on top of the DeltaGard G Granules?

    Yes, it is okay to apply the Bifen Granules over top of the DeltaGuard G granules to control fleas. It is also helpful to incorporate an insect growth regulator sucg as Archer IGR to halt to reproductive cyle of fleas to gain control much faster.

    Does Bifen Granules kill chiggers
    A
    Onslaught is a great product for chigger control. Treatments for chiggers should begin in April/May and could need to continue through the summer as new chiggers move into the area. Treating the entire lawn is of little benefit because chiggers avoid direct sunlight and normally will not infest areas that are mowed or otherwise well maintained. Focus treatment on the unkempt areas of the lawn and lawn edge. You can also use Onslaught to do a barrier treatment around the outside of your home and in your crawl space to stop pests from moving indoors.

    I read an article that Bifen is effective in controlling ground pearls. Does It?
    I have a full yard infestation...centipede dying. Just want to stop. Everything I've read says there is NO way to stop it. Thanks

    Bifen IT is not actually labeled to treat for ground pearls so we cannot comment on this use.  Research shows that there are currently no known controls for ground pearls. The only management strategy is to try to keep the grass as healthy as you can. This includes proper watering and fertilization, and also control of other pests, which Bifen will do a great job at. This usually slows the spread of the problem, but will not stop it completely.

    Hi! Will the Bifen granules affect Monarch or Swallowtail caterpillars or butterflies?
    I grow milkweed for Monarchs and have parsley for the Swallowtails.
    A
    Bifen Granules should not affect the butterflies as long as they do not land on the soil/areas treated with it.  Though it is a non-selective insecticide which means that any insect that is contacted with the insecticide will be killed. You can help limit this effect by only applying the product when bees and butterflies are not currently visiting the area that needs to be treated.

    What is the toxicity of the Bifen Granules to snakes and lizards?
    A
    As long as the lizards and snakes are out of the area while you are doing the actual application of the Bifen Granules, it shouldn't effect them. You will most likely see a reduction in the  lizard populations on your property though as you will be eliminating their food source (insects). We do carry Snake Out. It is a specially formulated dust that uses natural ingredients to effectively repel snakes near living areas. The product poses no threat to children or pets, and yet contains active ingredients that snakes find unpleasant.

    Lawn guy says I have some sort of centipede / millipede, that they'll go away by themselves, eventually. Will Bifen kill these things?
    I hear it's because of all the rain and heat we've had. Will Bifen kill these things? They're everywhere! Around the pool, in the pool, in the grass, down the driveway

    Bifen L/P Granules are easy to spread and will protect your lawn from millipedes and other pests for 2 to 3 months. Bifen IT is a great residual liquid formulation that is added to water and applied with a low-pressure sprayer can provide a powerful residual that continues working for 4 to 8 weeks following application. This residual liquid formulation can be sprayed along the outside perimeter of the home (especially under and around eaves, decks, patios, and window shutters), and inside along baseboards, in cracks and crevices, and other potential millipede harborages. You will know the residual is working because you will begin finding only dead millipedes rather than live ones. A lot of moisture are great thriving areas they prefer.     Ground covers, mulch and barks
    Hi there, can I sprinkle these granules on ground covers, mulch or barks? Do they have to be applied when it's dry or can I apply them when when it's wet out too? I have problems with springtail outside of my home but they are making their ways into my home thru the cracks!
    A
    Using a 25 lb. bag covers 5,000-10,000 square feet. You can use them as a broadcast or a perimeter treatment directly around the structrue of the home. It is recommended that you water the granules in after application. When treating for springtails, moisture is the biggest contributor. If you can remove the moisture, the springtail population will go down. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
