Bifen Granules recently had a product label change and the new label no longer lists springtails as a target pest. We recommend Demand G Granules to control springtails and they can be used as a perimeter application or over your entire lawn. Children can safely return to the treated area after it is completely dry. Bifen L/P granules and Talstar PL granules contain the same active ingredient, bifenthrin. The only difference is there are restrictions for certain states for each product based on a state law or manufacturer registration. They will last approximately 2-4 months once applied and watered in (which can be done prior to rainfall). Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions for the insect(s) you are targeting.
Once you have watered in the Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules and the treated areas have had to time to dry completely, rainfall and regular watering should not reduce the effectiveness of the product. In situations with frequent rainfall or frequent watering, you can reapply the product after 2 months.

Yes, Bifen Granules will treat ground pearls. You would use at a rate of 2 lbs for every 1000 sq/ft, and retreat once a month for 3 months. Before you treat, please be aware that it is important to know that one of the more common traits with ground pearls is they seem to like soil with low PH levels. We would recommend that you have your soil tested to see what the PH levels are, and get that corrected first and then treat with the Bifen Granules.
