Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules are labeled for armyworms and will do a great job controlling this pest. When treating for armyworms to ensure optimum control, irrigate the treated area with up to 0.1 inches of water immediately after application to activate (release from the granule) the insecticide. This product is not one that will kill the listed pests on contact. It will take time. There are several factors like the severity of an infestation that will play a part in how long it takes to gain complete control. It could possibly take a few weeks for full control. The product will leave a residual that lasts in the soil for 2-3 months.
Yes, you can absolutely use the Bifen LP Granules on your rock landscaping for further control. Water it in with roughly 1/2 rainfall equivalent and it will slowly break down over about 2 months or so to give continuous insect control. Many customers do the same thing you are with spraying around the foundation as it gives you the ability to get vertical surface treatment and any bushes that may be around as well as long term protection further out with the granules.

Bifen Granules should never be applied through any sprayer of any sort. This is a granule that should be applied with a spreader only and once applied to the yard watered in by sprinkler or irrigation or light rain to activate it. These are granules that are designed to break down slowly over time and last over a period of 2-3 months dependent on weather over that time frame. If you wish to spray an insecticde on your lawn you should use Bifen I/T which is a liquid concentrate product forumlated for that use.

We are not sure why Bifen Granules does not have roaches on the label, but it is the same product as Talstar PL Granules, and roaches are listed on the Talstar granule product label. Yes, Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules is labeled to control fire ants. According to the product label, the best control will be achieved by using broadcast treatments in combination with mound drenches. It is critical to water before treatments if the soil is dry. Apply up to 0.4 lb AI/A when making broadcast applications. When treating mounds apply ½ a cup of granules per mound and drench the mound with 1-2 gallons of water. A four-foot diameter around the mound should also be treated.

We recommend to continue using the Bifen L/P Granules for outdoors to protect your lawn from a broad range of insects. We do recommend treating in your wall voids and behind your outlets with an insecticide dust that will leave a long residual such as Delta Dust. It is water resistant and will last up to 7 months. Bifen Granules should not affect the bees as long as they do not land on the soil/areas treated with it. Though it is a non-selective insecticide which means that any insect that is contacted with the insecticide will be killed. You can help limit this effect by only applying the product when bees are not currently visiting the area that needs to be treated.
