BAYER LAWN WEED & CRABGRASS KILLER
By Charles on 09/29/2012
I have used this product on three (3) seperate occasions. I thought perhaps I was doing something wrong. I spent an evening reviewing the directions and followed the everything to a "T". No luck. It did turn my St. Augustine yellow in spots. But the weeds & Crabgrass are thriving after two (2) weeks. Same results as the first two (2) applications in summers past. Also, it did kill the clovers.

"hard to kill" in AZ
By Paul on 03/15/2012
I bought this to control lawn weeds which I believe are foxtail and crabgrass as well as two unidentified weeds in my Arizona Rye grass lawn. The application was done in late February using 3.5oz per gallon. I also added Hi-Yield Sticker Spreader as well as a marking dye to the mix. I applied using a back pack sprayer to 3600 sq. ft. of lawn. Over two weeks later and the foxtail is thriving and none of the other weeds were affected. I even watered a day before application to stimulate weed growth. I contacted Bayer and they responded that the instructions state that certain hard to kill weeds may need a second application at 14 days. I used the whole quart on my lawn and have no plans to buy more of this stuff. Apparently all my lawn weeds fall under the "hard to kill" category.

None of these products work
By Clayton on 05/28/2013
I have used a variety of this maker's products because it was a well known name brand. None of them worked. One product that I bought (Brush Killer) I tried because I had leafing plants and vines in my backyard that I wanted to get rid of. As some have already said, I followed the instructions correctly, sprayed two different kinds of plants and a vine. After three days nothing seemed to happen. I sprayed the plants again and waited three more days. The plants were still green and growing. I sprayed again and waited a week. Finally, after three weeks the plants are starting to yellow but mostly they have just kind of wilted. What a waste of money! I'll never buy this maker's products again. It doesn't do what it says it does or if it does it takes way too long. The only reason that I gave it one star is because the site requires it...otherwise I would give it zero stars.

Not effective at all
By Dj on 08/07/2015
I mixed 3.2 oz / gal in my sprayer and applied according to directions for crabgrass control. It had no effect whatsoever on the crabgrass and has actually damaged the lawn grass surrounding the weed. Very disappointed with this product.

Do not use this product in South Florida
By Anthony on 12/18/2017
This product will kill Bahia, Carpet. Centipede. and St Augustine grass. These are the grasses used in Sourh Florida. Live and learn. Tested this product on a section of my lawn and in about a week it yellowed and died. Guess what, the weeds survived. Bayer markets this product in South Florida knowing that it will kill its customers lawns. Thanks Bayer,

Horrible Product
By Chad on 09/01/2017
Purchased with the intention of killing a limited amount of clover in my yard. This product did kill the clover, but also turned my beautiful grass a yellow tint and it has remained this color for over a week now. I will never use this product again. I used the recommended dosage and applied as evenly as possible. I pray it does not kill my yard, that was once the pride of the street.

Bayer advanced all-in-one lawn weed & crabgrass killer
By Jp on 04/17/2017
If I could give this a negative rating, I would. I purchased this 2 times from a big box store and returned it each time. I will not purchase another Bayer product. The red plastic piece that connects the wand to the bottle will not stay in the hole at the top of the container. Even my husband couldn't get the red piece to stay in the hole in the container.

Disapointing
By The on 06/21/2019
I had good results from Bayer products in the past but this Bioadvanced Crabgrass and Weed Killer is virtually worthless. I applied per instructions. The instructions said 10-14 days to do the job. It is now 11 days and the weeds are flowering happily. The crabgrass is thriving. I will use the rest on the lawn to see if it does any good but I don't think that there is any hope of it doing some good.

Didnt work
By Lee on 07/29/2020
Sprayed per instructions and still have tons of crabgrass two weeks later. Sprayed again and hopefully the 2nd time will do the trick. Noticed that the fleet farm brand had a higher percentage of chemicals than the Bayer container and advertised the same sq ft coverage - should have went that route

Not worth it
By Vic on 07/19/2024
I had crabgrass spreading in my yard in south central Texas. I followed directions to the letter. Waited enough time and hardly any results so I sprayed again. No results. I have been cheated!!
Expert response:
We apologize results were not as expected. We are happy to troubleshoot any issues with you if you can provide further information
What rate did you apply at?
How large of an area did you treat?
How many times have you applied the product?
Crabgrass can be difficult to control when it is more mature and may require repeat applications.
We look forward to hearing from to come to a resolution!
