  • Asked by Teresa from Thousand Oaks, Ca

    Q
Would Bayer Advanced All-In-One Rose and Flower Care harm bees, butterflies, or hummingbirds?
Will this systemic product kill bees, butterflies, hummingbirds who feed off the flowering plants that I treated with this product in my home garden? I already applied it, without knowing. What can I do to protect my beneficial garden visitors who collect pollen and nectar from my flowers?
    A

The Bayer Advanced All-In-One Rose and Flower Care product label does not carry a pollinators warning, so there is likely not enough active ingredient to warrant this concern. In general, we recommend using systemic insecticides on flower plants after petal fall if you have conerns about pollinators. You can also avoid spraying during the middle of the day while these insects are present, treating in morning or evening instead.

  • Asked by Patricia from Dunkirk, Maryland
    06/05/2012
    Q
Can Bayer Advanced All-in-one Rose & Flower Care be used in a hose end sprayer for flowerbeds?
What if you want to mix it in a dial of fluid ounce sprayer? Can you do that? If so, what is the measurement of concentrate that I should put in the sprayer before attaching it to a hose and turning the hose on? I don't want to harm my flowers and I want the concentrate to be effective. I have quite a few flower beds that contain all different varieties of flowers and roses.
    A

The Bayer Advanced All-in-one Rose & Flower Care is made to use as a soil drench, not as a foliage spray which is why the manufacturer does not recommend using the product in hose end sprayers. If you do choose to use the product in a hose end sprayer you must make sure you can properly calibrate the sprayer to only dispense the amount of product per gallon of water that is recommended for your use and you should only use the flowerbed dosing as you will also be spraying the plant leaves:

    Flowerbeds
2 fl. oz. (4 TBSP) in 2 gallons of water treats 12 sq. ft.

  • Asked by Jacquelyn from Las Vegas, Nv
    04/14/2013
    Q
Is All-In-One Rose and Flower Care harmful to helpful bugs like ladybugs?
    A
Bayer Advanced All-In-One Rose and Flower Care really targets plant chewing and sucking insects. Lady bugs that land on the plant while the treatment is being applied may be effected but after the plant is dry the product should not have any effect on them because it works by ingestion and the ladybugs will not be ingesting the plant material where the product is active.

  • Asked by Susan from Seekonk, Ma
    06/05/2018
    Q
How long does Bayer Advanced All-In-One Rose and Flower Care take to kill Aphids? When can I expect to see results?
I put the all in one at the proper concentration per foot for my Rose of Sharon that are having aphid issues. Two days later, I still see live aphids..
    A

The Bayer Advanced All-In-One Rose and Flower Care is a systemic insecticide that has to have time to be absorbed into the roots – this can take a few days to few weeks. Aphids are best controlled using a combination of systemic and foliar insecticide. Southern AG Triple Action Neem Oil is a great option for foliar control for Aphids.
