We would recommend one of our other pre emergent items like Hi Yield with Dimension or Prodiamine 65 for a pre emergent to prevent crabgrass in the spring.

I read the list of active ingredients and saw 2-4-D listed. Straight 2-4-D is very harmful to young trees but the Bayer Season Long Concentrate does not mention anything about trees; whether it is harmful or not or any recommendation for application with trees in mind.

I have ornamental beds with flowers, shrubs, and trees what is the best pre- and post-emergent herbicide?
There are several mulched beds with different plantings. I have vincas, english ivy, hostas, tulips, daffodils, cone flowers, hydrangea, red maple trees evergreen bushes, juniper, yew, locust trees, redbuds, lily-of-the-valley, boxwoods, spruce trees, birch trees, and phlox. My biggest problem is honeysuckle, dandelions, and grass in the beds.

We do carry a great pre-emergent called Snapshot 2.5 TG and it's to treat weeds and annual grasses on ornamental beds. There really is nothing for post-emergence control though unless you spot treat with something like Roundup QuickPro for anything that has already emerged.

There really is nothing for post-emergence control for broadleaf weeds though unless you spot treat with something like Roundup QuickPro for anything that has already emerged. For grasses, an over the top could be used depending on the plants.
