DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

BEFORE YOU USE:

  • Use this product only on established Southern lawns listed on this label - new lawns must be at least 3 months old if sodded, 16 months old if sprigged and 16 months old if seeded.
  • Do not apply this product to water-saturated soils.
  • Apply only to actively growing turf.
  • Apply in spring after the lawn is actively growing and has been mowed 2 times.
  • Do not apply while turfgrass is just turning green in early spring.
  • Apply in fall no closer than 6 weeks before the first historical frost date for your area.
  • Do not apply to Centipedegrass after October 1.
  • Do not apply this product if the lawn appears unhealthy e.g., due to lack of water (drought, watering restrictions), turf disease (dollarspot, large patch, grey leaf spot, take-all root rot, etc.), parasitic microscopic worms (nematodes), turf insects (chinch bugs, etc.), heavy shade, recent aeration or verticutting, or if the lawn is prone to winter injury.
  • Do not allow granules to come into contact with flowers, ornamental shrubs or trees, or other desirable broadleaf plants, as serious plant injury may occur.
  • Apply when the air is calm to avoid drift onto desirable plants.

HOW TO USE:

  • Use rotary or drop type spreader to apply granules evenly over the lawn. To be sure you cover lawn areas uniformly, first treat the border of the lawn then fill in the center. Make parallel passes, walking at a steady pace to ensure even distribution of the granules.
  • Sweep, brush, or blow any accidentally applied material off driveways, sidewalks etc. back onto the lawn.
  • Wait 24 hours after applying then activate residual barrier by lightly watering in.
  • Do not overlap treated areas or make repeat applications within 90 days as over application could damage the lawn.
  • Do not make more than two applications per site in any 12 month period.
  • Heavy raking will disturb the weed preventative barrier and reduce the effectiveness of this product.

FOR BEST RESULTS:

WHEN TO APPLY:

  • Apply when - weeds are small and actively growing - temperatures are between 50-90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May be applied to dry or (for best results) to dew-wetted lawn.
  • To prevent Crabgrass and Goosegrass apply early spring before the temperatures are regularly in the lower 80 degrees Fahrenheit range.
  • To prevent Annual Bluegrass (Poa annua) apply August - December.
  • Lawns may be seeded 12 months, sodded 6 months, and sprigged 12 months after applying this product.

WHERE TO USE:

Use only on established lawns of the turf types listed below: Bermudagrass, Centipedegrass, all varieties of St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam) and Zoysia.

DO NOT USE ON ANY OTHER TURF TYPES including: Bahiagrass, Bentgrass, Ormond variety of Bermudagrass, Buffalograss, Carpetgrass, Dichondra, Fescue, Kikuyugrass, Ryegrass, or Seashore Paspalum lawns.

MOWING:

  • If the lawn needs mowing, do it 1 to 2 days before (for best results) or 1 day after applying this product.
  • Clippings from the first three mowings should be left on the treated area. Do not use the clippings from the treated areas as mulch or compost around flowers, ornamentals, trees, or in vegetable gardens.

WATERING:

  • If lawn is dry, water 1 to 2 days before using this product.
  • Do not water for at least 24 hours after application or apply if rain is expected within 24 hours.

HOW IT WORKS:

This product contains a proven blend of weed killers to kill existing weeds* plus a residual herbicide to keep them from coming back for up to 6 months. This product starts
working immediately to stop weed growth until weeds* are dead within weeks. Plus, it feeds your lawn for quick greening and long-lasting feeding.

Do not apply this product in a way that will contact any person or pet, either directly or through drift. Keep people and pets out of the area during application. Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until dusts have settled.

SPREADER SETTINGS:

If your spreader is not listed, please call our Consumer Service Hotline.

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS:

  • This product is toxic to fish, aquatic invertebrates, and plants.
  • To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help to ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area. Sweeping any product that lands on a driveway, sidewalk, or street, back onto the treated area of the lawn or garden will help to prevent run off to water bodies or drainage systems.
  • Ground Water Advisory: This pesticide has properties and characteristics associated with chemicals detected in groundwater. This chemical may leach into ground water if used in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow.
  • Surface Water Advisory: This pesticide may impact water quality due to runoff of rain water. This is especially true for poorly draining soils and soils with shallow ground water. This product is classified as having a high potential for reaching surface water via runoff for several months or more after application.

    Waste of time and money

    By Homer on 02/26/2021

Picked it because it claimed pre and post emergent elimination of weeds in my St Augustine Grass. Three weeks later there are many new weeds and no reduction of the existing.

    This stuff works great

    By Mark on 06/04/2022

Has the same active ingredient as specticle flo (indaziflam) which is a great pre emergent herbicide! One bag of this transformed my weed infested lawn into a significant better bermuda lawn. It killed nearly every weed I had except for one type I'm not sure the name of. Also worked extremely well in preventing more weeds from coming up. I wish I could attach before and after photos to this review, but this stuff is actually pretty good for a weed and feed.

This has become my go-to weed-and-feed.

    By Fred on 03/27/2023

Prior to this using this product I had a terrible time controlling poa-annua in the winter and Virginia Buttonweed in the summer. I use this product twice a year and the weeds are GONE. Since this is a pre-emergent you have wait until the next season to see the results, but results I have seen. Very impressed. I don't believe there is any other consumer product with indaziflam, you would have to purchase the professional grade stuff.

People must not be following directions

    By Fred on 06/04/2022

There are a whole lot of parameters weather, water, temperature, mowing wise to meet when putting this down. I'm guessing the people that fail with this can't read or follow directions. Literally miracle in a bag. It suppresses nutsedge by 98% making it a breeze to take out the last bits with targeted application of Sedgehammer instead of spray n' praying. Zero other weeds. Yard looks better with $50 a year than the neighbors yard service costing 20X as much.

Q
Is the BioAdvanced 3 in 1 Weed and Feed for Southern Lawns safe to use with free range chickens and goats?

I did read the bag about allowing pets on after the dust has settled. Should there be any concern about when to allow grazing animals back in the area. Many opinions from "internet experts". What is the companies guidance? Thank you

A
