    Q
Is Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU harmful to frogs?
I have moles and want to get rid of grubs and insects that they eat. But I don't want to endanger my frogs.
    A

Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU is not labeled to treat for grubs. It's mainly for aphids and other insects of the type. It is a contact kill and should not harm frogs that enter the treated area after it has dried. We would recommend to apply when frogs are less active. You may be interested in Milky Spore for Grub control, which will only harm white grubs.

    Q
Does Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU have a smell?
Sometimes we get little tiny brown flying bugs in the house. My mother says they come from my houseplants. I tried getting a houseplant insecticide at the store. The only kind I could find had tea tree oil, and it stinks for hours, giving everybody headaches and leaving a taste in the air. Does this product have an unpleasant smell?
    A

Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU has very little, if any, noticeable odor.

    Q
Is it safe to eat fruit off a pear tree after spraying the diseased tree with Bonide Insecticidal Soap?
The pear tree has been diseased for two years now. each spring, buds will form and fruits will develop. However, you can tell that the tree is infected by insects, and the fruits will not mature and just fall to the ground. During this time of year, the tree is already bearing fruits. Is it a good idea to spray the tree now? And if I do spray now, will the fruits on the tree edible after spraying?
    A

Yes, it is safe to spray your pear tree with Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU. Per the label, you must shake the conainer before using it and thoroughly spray insect pests to wetting on all plant parts, including undersides of the leaves. It is a contact spray so pests must be sprayed directly to achieve control and you can repeat treatment weekly or bi-weekl if needed. You can use Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU on edible crops up to and including the day of harvest.

    Q
Aphid control for cucumbers in a large greenhouse?
I have about 600 cucumber plants in a large greenhouse. We get black aphids and green aphids. Is there a good systemic control for our problem
    A
Due to your cucumbers being in a greenhouse, there are limited products that can be used systemtically. Bonide Insecticidal Soap is labeled for cucumbers in a greenhouse. We would recommend speaking to the local extension office for a recommendation.
