Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU is not labeled to treat for grubs. It's mainly for aphids and other insects of the type. It is a contact kill and should not harm frogs that enter the treated area after it has dried. We would recommend to apply when frogs are less active. You may be interested in Milky Spore for Grub control, which will only harm white grubs.

Yes, it is safe to spray your pear tree with Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU. Per the label, you must shake the conainer before using it and thoroughly spray insect pests to wetting on all plant parts, including undersides of the leaves. It is a contact spray so pests must be sprayed directly to achieve control and you can repeat treatment weekly or bi-weekl if needed. You can use Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU on edible crops up to and including the day of harvest.

Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU is not labeled for use on rhododendrons. We recommend Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate, which will not harm rhododendrons when applied per label. Be sure to apply in the cooler times of the day and when plants ARE NOT blooming.
