Q
Is Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU harmful to frogs?

I have moles and want to get rid of grubs and insects that they eat. But I don't want to endanger my frogs.

A

Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU is not labeled to treat for grubs. It's mainly for aphids and other insects of the type. It is a contact kill and should not harm frogs that enter the treated area after it has dried. We would recommend to apply when frogs are less active. You may be interested in Milky Spore for Grub control, which will only harm white grubs.

Q
Does Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU have a smell?

Sometimes we get little tiny brown flying bugs in the house. My mother says they come from my houseplants. I tried getting a houseplant insecticide at the store. The only kind I could find had tea tree oil, and it stinks for hours, giving everybody headaches and leaving a taste in the air. Does this product have an unpleasant smell?

A

Bonide Insecticidal Soap RTU has very little, if any, noticeable odor.

Q
Aphid control for cucumbers in a large greenhouse?

I have about 600 cucumber plants in a large greenhouse. We get black aphids and green aphids. Is there a good systemic control for our problem

A
Due to your cucumbers being in a greenhouse, there are limited products that can be used systemtically. Bonide Insecticidal Soap is labeled for cucumbers in a greenhouse. We would recommend speaking to the local extension office for a recommendation.
