Bonide Weed Beater Complete is labeled to suppress lawn burweed as a post-emergent, but not sandbur/sandspur. So you first need to determine exactly which plant(s) you are targeting since these will require different active ingredients.
If you need a product labeled to control lawn burweed, you may use a product such as Fertilome Weed Free Zone instead. Please be sure to review the product label for more information, complete application instructions, and to be sure your grass type will be tolerable.If you are targeting sandbur/sandspur, then we need to know the kind of turgrass you have to know if there is a product that will work as a selective post-emergent for you.
You may use a pre emergent such as Pendulum 2G Herbicide to prevent both sandbur and lawn burweed from coming up in the future. You may view the full product label here.

Bonide Weed Beater Complete can be applied to a newly seed lawn once it has been fully established, typically after being mowed at least 2-3 times or 30 days, whichever is longer. Unfortunately, we do not have the spreader settings for that specific combo and the manufacturer does not list that spreader on their bag. Due to the thousands of granules on the market and just as many different types of spreaders, you will want to calibrate your spreader to the product you are using and its application rates. Bonide Weed Beater Ultra is applied at the rate of 1.5-2.4 oz. per gallon of water per 1000 sq. ft. for cool-season grasses or 0.75-1.8 oz. per gallon of water per 1000 sq. ft. for warm-season grasses. The manufacturer recommends using a hand-pump or backpack sprayer to apply to ensure the most accurate application.
Bonide Weed Beater Complete should not be applied under or within the drip line of desirable trees an shrubs as injury may occur.
Snapshot 2.5TG is a pre emergent specifically for ornamentals, flowers, shrubs and landscape beds to prevent weeds from germinating. For weeds that are actively growing during warmer months, a non selective glyphosate herbicide such as Roundup QuickPRO can be used to directly spot treat broadleaf weeds. Grassy weeds can be treated using and Over the Top Herbicide such as Grass Out Max or Fuislade II Herbicide.

Pets should be removed from the area during the application, and once the dust has settled and the treated area has completely dried after it has been watered-in, it is then safe for pets to re-enter the area.
Yes Bonide Weed Beater Complete is labeled for use on St Augustine however does advise that some temporary discoloration to exposed leaf surfaces. Treated turfgrass will recover with new growth and mowing to remove discoloration.

Bonide Weed Beater Complete can be applied in spring, summer and fall before weeds germinate. For crabgrass prevention, the product label advises to apply in late fall when soil temps are just below 50 degrees but before the ground freezing. This is going to help control crabgrass the following spring. In early spring, apply when the soil temps rise to 50-55 degrees for pre emergent control of crabgrass and other weeds during the growing season.
** This product can be applied twice a year as long each application does not exceed the maximum single rate application for the specific turfgrass or 8.6lbs per 1000 sq ft.
