The ants are coming up through the base board heating system on the copper piping. The heater is currently not in use but I want to make sure when the winter season comes the heater can be used without fear of fire due to advion gel in the crevice.
You may use Advion Ant Bait Gel around copper pipes but I would advise against putting gel inside of a baseboard heating system. You should be able to put small dabs of the gel around the baseboard heating system without putting it inside and the ants will still seek out and consume the bait.
