Can Ferti-lome Liquid Systemic Fungicide II be applied as soil drench for leaf spot on ligustrum trees instead of applying as a foliar spray?

I've used spray treatments but the leaf spot always returns. Is there something to keep it at bay rather than having to spray every few weeks year round.

Answer:

Ferti-lome Liquid Systemic Fungicide II is not labeled for ligustrum shrubs nor is this labeled to be applied as a soil drench applications to the root zone for systemic mode of action. BioPhos can be applied as soil drench and/or foliage spray for leaf spot. For the foliar spray fungicide treatment, you will need to rotate fungicides every 2-3 applications applying at 14 to 28 day intervals. We would recommend Clearys 3336F or Propiconazole 14.3 for a rotation fungicicde.  Please view the full product labels before treating for more information.
