I'm in Texas and it's early spring right now. My grass is absolutely dormant and I'm already seeing lots of nutsedge popping up. I wanted to verify that this product can be used on dormant grass without damaging it.
Pennant Magnum Herbicide is safe to use on Bahiagrass, Bermudagrass, Centipedegrass, St. Augustinegrass, and Zoysiagrass (including commercial St. Augustinegrass Sod Production) as directed on the product label.  If you have nutsedge already emerging, it would not affect it.  Nutsedge grows in grass and is most prominent in the summer, so it would not really be seen this soon, so we would make sure it is correctly identified.  If you do in fact have nutsedge, something like Sulfentrazone would be needed for post-emergent control.
