Agrisel Sulfentrazone is a highly effective selective herbicide that controls various types of grass, sedge weeds, and susceptible broadleaf weeds. This selective herbicide contains sulfentrazone, the same active ingredient found in Dismiss herbicide, which limits the energy of plants, inhibiting the growth of unwanted weeds. The Agrisel Sulfentrazone is specially formulated as a liquid flowable which requires sufficient moisture to provide efficient control of susceptible germinating weeds. It is ideal to use on athletic fields, golf courses, residential lawns, fairways, and commercial sod farms. It is proven to control unwanted broadleaf weeds and sedges, such as Yellow nutsedge, Kyllinga, goosegrass, carpetweed, buttercup, common mallow, fiddleneck, curly dock, clover, ground ivy, spotted spurge, and redweed. It features a flexible formula that it may be applied with liquid fertilizers solution or tank mixed with water. For best results and to avoid damaging emerging crop seedlings, apply before crop seed germination.

Very Powerful
By Can't on 07/06/2019
I used Agrisel Sulfentrazone 4F on Empire Zoysia in central Florida in June to combat purple and yellow nut sedge as well as Kyllinga. This stuff is very powerful and highly effective. Use with caution. I applied 1Teaspoon per gallon with a backpack sprayer to spot treat large patches. It was watered in by rain that night. Results were visible in 24 hours or less. However, the Empire Zosia was also impacted, showing discoloration, burned tips, and stress. After a few days, the sedge was completely browned out. The Kyllinga took a few days longer but also died. The damaged Zoysia grew out and was completely mowed off by the second week/mowing. Nut sedge has appeared in untreated areas and will require another treatment. I intend to try a lower concentration in these areas with the hope that it is as effective, without impacting the Zoysia, but I have my doubts due to some spots that were only lightly sprayed not being as effective. Prior to using Agrisel Sulfentrazone 4F, the most effective nut sedge chemical that I have used, of MANY ineffective attempts, has been Sedge Hammer. Sedge Hammer takes much longer(~3 weeks) to work but seems equally (very) effective and is much more gentle to the Empire Zoysia which seemed completely unphased. The Sedge Hammer is also effective against other weeds and would definitely be my first choice, if not for the very high price. I'd recommend Agrisel Sulfentrazone 4F for quick and highly effective action, especially for large infestations. But the damage risk to desirable turf must be considered. If budget is not an issue, and you're willing to wait three weeks or more, Sedge Hammer would be my recommendation.

Ignore the Two-Star Review, This is a Great Product.
By Glen on 05/27/2019
Ignore the two-star review. This product is generic Dismiss. It does just as good of a job without the added cost. Granted, Agrisel's product label says it will treat crabgrass (p. 31), but simple research indicates that crabgrass is merely suppressed. (Compare the product labels for Agrisel and Blindside, which has an even higher rate of sulfentrazone.) If you are treating crabgrass in a St. Augustine lawn, use the recommended label rate for sulfentrazone and spike the tank with MSM Turf Herbicide (60% metsulfuron). It worked for me in my St. Augustine lawn.

Careful...
By Russ on 04/30/2024
As one reviewer already mentioned, this should be diluted more than the instructions indicate. We mixed per the instructions to spot spray goose grass, creeping charlie/ground ivy and bittercress on the advice of our local county extension service. We used .25oz/.5 gallon of water (within the range of the instructions) and it killed a significant amount of our zoysia. I guess next time we'll dilute at least double at .25oz/gallon water. I wish the instructions contained residential spot-spray dosage to make the proper mix more clear.

Not great for crabgrass
By Chance on 05/19/2019
For spot treating with Agrisel Sulfentrazone 4F Herbicide , the mix rate would be 0.092 to 0.275 fl oz in a minium of ½ gallon of water per 1000 sq ft (8-12 fl oz per acre in 10 to 40 gallons of water per acre)
Please review the product label for more information.
