We have arborvitae, several tall Douglas firs and a 500 gallon propane tank within 30 feet of our home. Would spraying the tank and the trees up to 15 feet stop fire? (Arborvitae are super flammable.)
Per the manufacturer, Phos-Chek Wildfire Home Defense is effective on any vegetation. You can absolutely apply it to the arborvitae and it will remain effective until washed off by rain or hose. The retardant wont do anything for a metal propane tank however. They would recommend you keep all vegetation clear from around the propane tank and apply retardant to any vegetation in close proximity to the tank.
