The weeds in yard were treated by a professional yard treatment company about 4 to 6 weeks ago. However, I still have weeds, and new weeds are growing. Can I spot treat the weeds as many times as it takes to get rid of the weeds? Or, should I do a one-time broadcast treatment with Q4? Also, should I use 1.8 oz or 2.5 oz per gallon of water? I am in Georgia.
Q4 Plus Turf Herbicide can only be applied as a broadcast twice a year with 30 days in between each application. Spot treatments when weeds are actively growing in Spring and Summer can help with sparse weed control or as a follow up application to a broadcast on an “as needed” basis. Whether you are doing broadcast or spot treatment applications, be sure you do not exceed the maximum rate allowed per calendar for bermuda which is 5 to 7 pints/per acre or 1.8 fl oz to 2.6 fl oz per 1000 sq ft. Spot treatments for bermuda are applied at the rate of 1.84 fl to 2.57 fl oz in 1 gallon of water per 1000 sq ft. Keep in mind, weed control can vary depending on the specific weeds being targeted, if they are young vs mature weeds, the density of weed infestations and also weather/soil conditions.
