Can Termidor be applied to trees?

Can Termidor be applied to the base of trees and knot holes that have formed from prior pruning that contain evidence of carpenter ant activity?

Answer:

Unfortunately we can only recommend what is allowed on the product label.  Termidor is only labeled to be applied around the foundation of the house and is not supposed to be applied farther away from the foundation than 1 foot.  That being said, Termidor is not harmful to trees or plants.  We do sell Advance Carpenter Ant Granular Bait that is very popular for broadcasting in the yard and around tree trunks where carpenter ants are nesting.
