Can I use Barricade 65 WDG Herbicide on native grasses in Colorado?
I would like to keep the pretty grasses, but eliminate the gnarly weeds such as thistle and other prickly boradleaf weeds

Pre-emergents such as Barricade 65 WDG Herbicide are safe on most common established turfgrasses. If you have grass that is not specifically listed as tolerant on a product label, then we recommend testing a small area for tolerance before treating the entire area.
Please be aware that the old Barricade 65 WDG Herbicide was discontinued and was replaced with Barricade 65 WG Herbicide.
Keep in mind, also, that Prodiamine will not prevent thistles. You would need to use a product containing Isoxaben, such as Gallery 75 DF, for prevention of thistles and many other tougher broadleaf weeds.
