Gallery 75 DF Specialty Herbicide is a pre-emergent herbicide used to prevent more than 40 annual broadleaf weeds from germinating in established turfgrass, ornamental plantings, and other labeled areas. Its active ingredient, 75% isoxaben, creates a residual barrier in the soil that controls susceptible weeds as they germinate from seed.
Gallery 75 DF controls or suppresses numerous annual broadleaf weeds, including:
Control depends on applying the correct rate before the target weeds germinate. Consult the product label for the complete weed list and the rate required for each species.
Apply Gallery 75 DF before target broadleaf weeds germinate, typically in late summer to early fall for winter annual weeds or early spring for summer annual weeds. It may also be applied immediately after cultivation in labeled ornamental and non-turf areas.
Because weed-germination timing varies by species and location, schedule the application according to the target weed rather than waiting until weeds become visible.
Gallery 75 DF is labeled for pre-emergent broadleaf weed control in:
Only apply Gallery 75 DF to plants and use sites permitted by the product label. Do not apply it directly to water, golf course putting greens, dichondra, or turfgrass grown for seed.
For a small pump-sprayer application, mix the required 0.25 to 0.5 ounce of Gallery 75 DF per 1,000 square feet with enough water to cover that measured area uniformly. Approximately 1 to 2 gallons of water per 1,000 square feet is commonly used with a hand-pump sprayer, but the water serves primarily as a carrier, so accurate product measurement and even coverage are most important.
To mix Gallery 75 DF:
Apply Gallery 75 DF at 0.25 to 0.5 ounce per 1,000 square feet, depending on the target weed:
Gallery 75 DF can provide pre-emergent broadleaf weed control for up to eight months, depending on the application rate, target weeds, soil conditions, weather, and proper activation. It will not remove weeds that were already established when the application was made.
Repeat applications of 1 pound or more per acre should not be made sooner than 60 days after the previous treatment. Do not apply more than 4 pounds per acre within a 12-month period.
Yes. Gallery 75 DF is labeled for use on established St. Augustinegrass when applied at the labeled rate. It can also be used on established warm-season turfgrass such as Bermudagrass, bahiagrass, buffalograss, centipedegrass, tall fescue growing in warm-season areas, and zoysiagrass.
Gallery 75 DF is also labeled for established cool-season grasses, including creeping and colonial bentgrass, Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and certain fescues. Do not apply it to golf course putting greens or dwarf-type Bermudagrass during establishment by sprigging.
No. Gallery 75 DF is a pre-emergent weed preventer and does not control established weeds or weeds growing from stolons, rhizomes, or root pieces. Remove existing weeds through cultivation or treat them with an appropriately labeled post-emergent herbicide before or alongside a Gallery 75 DF application.
Yes. Gallery 75 DF must receive at least 0.5 inch of rainfall or sprinkler irrigation after application to move the herbicide into the soil and activate the pre-emergent barrier. The product can remain stable on the soil surface for up to 21 days, but inconsistent weed control may occur if it is not activated with moisture within that period.
A properly calibrated low-pressure tank or backpack sprayer is generally preferred because it provides more accurate rates and uniform coverage. Hose-end sprayers can be difficult to calibrate and may apply the herbicide unevenly. Measuring the treatment area in 1,000-square-foot sections or using a compatible spray-pattern indicator can help prevent missed areas and excessive overlap.
Gallery 75 DF may be applied to newly seeded or overseeded turf only after the grass seedlings are established, well rooted, tillering, and have reached the three-leaf stage. After treating established turfgrass with Gallery 75 DF, wait at least 60 days before overseeding.

The Missing Link
By Rick on 04/18/2015
Galleryt 75 is the missing link in my lawn-care program - weeds don't need any encouragement to grow here in Florida, and this product prevents that growth... it is such a pleasure not finding elusive weeds growing in my lawn - not needing to get out the poisons and spray equipment! It makes having a lawn a real pleasure once again.

Spotted spurge has met it's match
By Anonymous on 06/27/2013
Works incredibly well on spotted spurge. Reduced spurge sprouts by easily 500x, probably more, compared to the same time last year. The turf in this case is Tifgreen which is often sensitive to weed control chemicals, but this did not affect it at all, even when sprayed in March before the spring recovery from winter overseeding. Your mileage may vary.

It works!
By Jennifer on 10/11/2021
I just received my order. I have a 1 and a 2 gallon pump sprayer, and I want to use to apply this in the common area next to my lawn. I don't see any mixing instructions. How do I mix this up? Thanks.

I have a couple of 12 lb dogs that run in the yard where I wish to get rid of dandelions and would be concerned over their safety with this product. Thanks

Can Gallery be applied using a hose end sprayer rather than a pump tank sprayer. I do have both but was wondering how to keep track of what areas have been sprayed when using a tank sprayer. Any advice would be appreciated.
