Can I use boric acid for quartz refractory rammed in to furnace after a week

I mix boric acid with quartz refractory and ram in to the furnace I usually start furnace immediately after ramming but,unfortunately due to furnace electrical problem I am waiting for a week to use.Can I use it after a week?
