Treating carpets for general pests is not needed. Only when you are dealing with a pest like fleas that infest carpets would you need to do so. For general pest control, treatments should be directed to cracks and crevices inside as you should also apply a barrier outside around the perimeter. We have a great video here that shows where to spray for perimeter and interior spraying. Onslaught is a great option for them and is labeled for over 200 pests.
