Gary from Boise, Idaho writes

Can I use Pramitol 25E to kill bluegrass and the put down groundcover?

I plan to plant ground cover in this area (in new top soil). As long as this new ground cover has a shallow root system, will this work or would I be better advised to use round-up?

Answer:

You should not use Pramitol 25E anywhere where you want plants to grow for at least one year. This is considered a soil sterilant and it lasts up to a year in the soil. If you are wanting to renovate an area, then you can use something that does not persist in the soil, such as GlyPhoSel Pro. We recommend waiting 2 weeks for the target plants to die completely before removing the dead plant material and putting down your groundcover or other desirable plants.
