What about chimneys? Is dusting the firebox sufficient to keep bugs controlled?
Products in the Overwintering Kit for Stink Bugs, Lady Bugs, Boxelder Bugs should not be used in chimneys or firebox where it would contact wood or surfaces that will be used to burn wood. To prevent future stink bugs from entering your fireplace you should find and seal up any cracks around the outside of the fireplace and chimney, and use a suitable fine mesh over the top of the chimney.
