I have just had 20 trees cut from my yard three days ago. The tree gentleman that cut my trees down used it on my Cottonwood.
Tordon RTU Specialty Herbicide would be best applied as close to cutting the stump as possible, but you can do it the next day if needed up to a few days later. You just want to be sure it is applied to a fresh cut stump, not one that has been cut weeks prior.
