Can you use Atrimmec on large oak trees?

I'm in Ohio and have a bunch of tall, old oaks in our yard. Some of them look like they've had die back in years past and one or two look like they're struggling. They are so big with some near the house I don't want to lose them. An arborist mentioned using a growth inhibitor to help prevent die back and strengthen the foliage and root systems that are there to make them healthier. Would Atrimmec work for this? If so, how much would I need?

Answer:

Atrimmec Plant Growth Regulator (PGR) is only labeled to be used to control growth, we are not familar with it being used to prevent dieback and would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer for the best advice. PBI Gordon can be reached at 800-821-7925
