This is a fairly new product for us so we do not have any feedback on efficacy for pickleworms but you can contact the manufacturer, Bonide, directly to see if they have found their product to be effective for pickleworms. Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is not labeled for and, therefore, will not be effective as a soil drench. To treat for thrips using Captain Jacks, you will apply the product as a spray to get thorough coverage on the target plants. Captain Jacks should not be used for mite control except certain stages of spider mites only since the active ingredient is only effective for pests that will ingest it. Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is not labeled to be used for slugs. We recommend you look at the Bonide Bug and Slug Bait. One pound of Bonide Bug & Slug Bait will protect up to 2,000 sq. ft. for up one month. Slugs and snails will die in 3 to 6 days and will many times travel to hidden areas to die.
We always recommend storing concentrates such as Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew in temperate environments where the product will not freeze. If the product has frozen once but it still has the same appearance and consistency and goes into solution, then it should still work. However, if the product is at all discolored, clumpy, or does not go into solution, then we recommend replacing the product.
As long as the area that was treated with Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate has had time to dry it’s considered rainfast. No need to spray again until at least 14 days.
