This insect control product is intended for control of worms (caterpillars) and other listed insects. This product does not significantly impact predatory beneficial insects, predatory mites, and spiders while controlling target pests. Susceptible insect pests may be observed on plants up to several hours after treatment, but will have ceased active feeding before being killed.
Add the required amount of this product to the specified amount of water, mix thoroughly, and apply uniformly to both upper and lower surfaces of plant foliage. Mix only as much spray as needed for a single treatment. In vegetable gardens, for best results, do not use more than 3 gallons of spray for 1000 sq ft of area. Do not use kitchen utensils for measuring. Keep measuring utensils with product and away from children.
Excellent organic control

I was having a recurrent yearly problem with whitefly, spider mites and leaf miners in my Savannah GA autumn vegetable garden. The eggplant, tomatoes and bell peppers were most affected. Capt Jack's Deadbug Brew Concentrate, containing Spinosad is an excellent control. I found that adding 4 tbsp Capt Jack's and 2 cups of milk to a gallon jug, filling it with water then spraying the entire plant with this mixture controlled the pests AND the fungal/mildew problems that are normal in humid deep south gardens. Happy Harvesting!

CAPTAIN JACKS DEADBUG BREW CONCENTRATE
By Ann on 07/21/2014
Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is not labeled to be used for slugs. We recommend you look at the Bonide Bug and Slug Bait. One pound of Bonide Bug & Slug Bait will protect up to 2,000 sq. ft. for up one month. Slugs and snails will die in 3 to 6 days and will many times travel to hidden areas to die.

The active ingredient in Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is not specifically listed to treat grasshoppers or snails. We would recommend using Bifen IT for grasshoppers and various other pests. Sluggo Plus is the most popular product for snail control in the lawn and around the home. Please review our Snail and Slug Control Page here for more information.
I see hundreds of earwigs and thousands of holes in citrus and avocado tree leaves, basil plants, and ornamental plants (coleus, etc.). I have used Talstar granules and Sevin granules (this for vegetable gardens) but still have plenty of damage forming and still catch a lot of these creatures. I have also used Sluggo Plus, diametoceus earth and Captain Dead Bug concentrate in case damage is produced by slugs and caterpillars. Does really exist something that eradicate them?
You could consider using Ferti-lome Triple Action, which provides quick and more complete control of insects and fungal diseases. It acts as an “exciter” to release insect pests that are hiding and into contact with spray residues. It is great to use on herbs, spices, flowers & shrubs, fruits, nuts and vegetables & roses. This product has very positive reviews, is also labeled to target Earwigs, and is most effective when applied on a 7 schedule for heavy insect populations. You can refer the product label for complete application instructions.
