  • Asked by John from Santa Rosa Beach Fl

    Q
how much celsius do i add per gallon of water?
    A

As with most herbicides the exact volume of water is not very important, you just need to be sure you are getting the correct amount of product on a specific area. Celsius may be applied at three different rates depending on the weeds to be controlled. For the appropriate rate and species consult USE RATES FOR WEED CONTROL section on the Celsius product label. For spot applications, add the specified product rate of 0.057-0.113 oz (1.6-3.2g) to enough water to create approximately 1 gallon spray solution. One gallon of spray solution will treat up to 1,000 sq ft. For maximum weed control with broadcast applications, add non-ionic surfactant.

  • Asked by Alonso from San Antonio, Texas
    04/14/2018
    Q
I have a Bermuda lawn and want to rid rescue grass in its post emergent state. What product should I use?
Also what is a good pre emergent to stop rescue grass?
    A

Prodiamine 65 WDG would be a great pre emergent product to use to remove unwanted rescuegrass from the Bermuda. We are not aware of a good post emergent product for rescuegrass that will not also harm the bermuda as in most cases customers have to spot treat with a roundup type product and resod/reseed the bare spot once dead.

  • Asked by Samuel from Hopkins, Sc
    07/28/2018
    Q
I used Celsius WG Herbicide to treat Bull Paspalum in my Centipede lawn. The centipede leaves are starting to yellow but I am not seeing any change in the Bull Paspalun, Will my Centipede lawn recover and when can I expect to see results in the Bull Paspalum?
I used this on about 5,000 sq ft of my centipede lawn used marking dye and a one gallon pump sprayer.
    A

The product label for Celsius WG Herbicide states that Bull Paspalum may need a second application of this product for control. If weeds are showing signs of recovery, make a second application 2-4 weeks after the first, Typically after yellow, this will result in control of weeds within 1-4 weeks after application.  Do not exceed 7.4 oz (210 g) of product per acre per year (365 days)

  • Asked by Cj from Gulf Breeze, Fl
    08/16/2018
    Q
Will Celsius WG Herbicide control chamberbitter in a centipede lawn?
    A

Yes, Celsius WG Herbicide can safely be applied to a centipede lawn to control chamberbitter. However, we no longer carry this product. This is a very stubborn weed. Pre emergent applications with a product like Isoxaben 75 WG have proven to be the most effective way to control this weed. Research from several extension pages do suggest the use of Atrazine for this weed, but we are not able to guarantee its effectiveness. Also keep in mind given how persistent and pesky chamberbitter is, there is no one and done solution to take care of the weed so repeat applications may have to take place in order to fully kill the invaders.

  • Asked by D from St Augustine Fl
    08/30/2018
    Q
Can I mix atrazine with my Celsius WG mix and spray it?
If not can I put Celsius WG down at one time and also do my atrazine treatment at another time?
    A

To see if you can mix Celsius WG and Atrazine together you need to test prior to mixing in the tank.  Please follow these instructions on the label of the Celsius WG.  Compatibility If this product is to be tank-mixed with other products, compatibility should be tested prior to mixing. To test for compatibility, use a small container and mix a small amount (0.5 to 1 qt) of spray, combining all ingredients in the same ratio as the anticipated use. If any indications of physical incompatibility develop (precipitation, settling, changes in color), do not use this mixture for spraying. Indications of incompatibility may occur within 5-15 minutes after mixing. Read and follow the label of each tank mix product used for precautionary statements, directions for use, geographic and other restrictions.
