Isoxaben 75 WG is a professional herbicide that provides up to 8 months of control for broadleaf weeds with just one application. Isoxaben 75 WG will control weeds such as Dandelion, Chickweed, Clover, Lambsquarter, and Thistle. It is proven to also work in the landscape, nursery, and greenhouse markets. When applying Isoxaben 75 WSB, make sure not to do so in a way that it will come into contact with humans. Only protected handlers should be in the area during application. Apply Isoxaben 75 WSB with a low-pressure herbicide sprayer that provides a uniform spray distribution. Do not apply this weed killer through any type of irrigation system. Make sure to apply in 10 gallons or more of water carrier per acre. Isoxaben 75 WSG will remain stable for up to 21 days on dry soil, but must be wet to be effective.
Isoxaben 75 WG specialty herbicide is a pre-emergent for control of certain broadleaf weeds in established turfgrass, landscape ornamentals, container-grown ornamentals, field-grown ornamentals, groundcovers/perennials, ornamental bulbs, non-bearing fruit and nut trees, and non-bearing vineyards, Christmas tree conifer plantation, and non-crop areas. Apply Isoxaben 75 WG in late summer to early fall, in early spring, or any time prior to germination of target weeds, or immediately after cultivation.
Applying Isoxaben 75 WG this week end and since it a pre-emergent I will not know well it works (on Burweed & Brass Buttons) until spring 2020. This being the case I will only give it 4 star’s!
What I can report is DoMyOwn is VERY helpful in providing solutions and answers to your questions. I dealt with Rosario and was provided with options and the communications via email was suuuuuuper!
Can Isoxaben 75 WG be washed out of its barrier by a wet spring?
My dandelion control was awful this season. Thistle control was also negligible.
How long your pre-emergent herbicide such as Isoxaben 75 WG lasts can certainly vary with rainfall, but if you are using the recommended label rates the you should get weeks to months of control from your applications. Dandelions are a tricky plant to control since the plants can overwinter and last several years. It is recommended to apply Isoxaben in the fall for dandelions, then using a post-emergent called Defendor in the fall as needed and also in early spring prevents remaining plants from growing. Dandelion also starts to germinate with soil temperatures as low as 50 degrees and much more as temperatures rise up to about 77 degrees, so your pre-emergent has to be down before these temperatures to be effective. Dandelion also thrives in thin turf in moist areas, so taking care of your desirable turfgrass will really help to prevent these weeds from competing.
Can I mix Isoxaben 75 WG Herbicide with Prodamine?
Waiting for fall temperatures to start my first split app treatment. Few questuons please.
1. Can I mix prodamine, Isoxaben and biostimulants like RGS?
2. I have Tall fescue and do I need to mow my lawn with 3" or 4" height before spraying?
You will want to refrain from mowing 2 days before your application and 2 days after application. Ideally, fescue grass blades should be kept at 2-3 inches long. If you have let your grass grow long during the cold winter months, you can do an initial mowing during the spring, but do not take off more than 1/3 of the length of grass or else the grass may become stressed. Mow every 2-3 weeks as needed and ever week during the spring. Once grass growth slows, typically in the summer months, mow less frequently.
