The Chapin G390 20-Gallon Lawn Hose End Sprayer is a hose end sprayer expertly engineered to be compatible with every hose.  It is made of chemical-resistant, rustproof, and long-lasting material. A removable fan-spray nozzle provides a continuous stream for more direct application or fast coverage on large areas. Capable of producing up to 20 gallons of finished spray. Has a fingertip on/off control. This sprayer is compatible with all forms of water-soluble weed killers, fertilizers, herbicides, and fungicides.

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Removable fan-spray nozzle for quick coverage of large areas or a continuous stream for more direct application;

  • Works with all water soluble fertilizers and weed killers.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Place proper amount of chemical (powder or liquid) in sprayer for desired number of gallons. Fill jar with proper amount of water for gallons to be sprayed.
  • Attach sprayer head to hose, thread jar with content onto spray head and turn on water. For proper spraying and mixing water, on/off control valve must be fully open.
  • To spray mixture of chemical and water, push sprayer valve handle forward to the fully open position.To stop spraying, pull valve back to fully closed. When jar is empty, you have sprayed desired number of gallons.

    Very helpful item

    Easy to ready volume markings. On/off switch is a nice feature. Angled tip shortens the throw a bit but also provides a bit more accuracy for me. The blue fertilizer granules I use has a nice contrast with the container so I can see what's left.

    Waste of money

    The only good thing about this sprayer is that it is useful in measuring out your liquids, otherwise it is a waste of money. The lid doesn't even stay on securely, and it doesn't work with the Talstar P, even when you remove the ciphon straw, as shown in the video. I ended up having to go to Tractor supply and buy another hose end sprayer, (Chameleon adaptable hose end sprayer) that worked great. They should remove the Chapin end hose sprayer from their Talstar P how to video!

Can I use the Chapin 20 Gallon Hose End Lawn Sprayer (G390) to spray the siding on my house with Talstar or a similar product for spiders and springtails?

Chapin 20 Gallon Hose End Lawn Sprayer (G390) can be used with Fertilizers, Weed & Feed, Fungicides, and Herbicides. We would not advise on using it to apply Talstar or any other products not labeled to be used in a hose end sprayer. Talstar P and many similar professional grade products are very thick concentrates and do not necessarily work well in a hose-end sprayer.

What setting the Chapin 20 Gallon Hose End Lawn Sprayer (G390) be set on for applying RoundUp Concentrate to kill weeds/grass on 1/2 acre area?

The amount of liquid herbicide required in the Chapin 20 Gallon Hose End Lawn Sprayer (G390) will depend on the specific RoundUp Herbicide you are using and the mix rates on that product label. Please view the example provided by Chapin from the G390 Manual. 

Example:  

If chemical product calls for 1 tablespoon per gallon and you want 10 gallons of finished spray, place 10 full tablespoons of product in bottle and fill with water to 10 gallon mark on side of bottle. For fan spray for lawns & shrubs, attach deflector to nozzle. For jet stream to spray trees, remove deflector.

Per the manufacturer, the hole on top of the Chapin 20 Gallon Hose End Lawn Sprayer (G390) allows air to go in so that it will syphon properly.
