The Chapin Commercial Duty Jet Clean Dual Displacement Pump 4 gallon Backpack Sprayer (63900) is a backpack sprayer that is designed for herbicide and fertilizer applications. The Jet Clean is well known for agriculture, farm, livestock, turf, landscape, home and garden industries. It features 3 stage of filtration system which includes the strainer basket, filter in piston cylinder and filter in shut-off. It is also built with a 6 inch cap with handle that offers a huge backpack opening for convenience in filling and cleaning. Its mouth opening measures 6 inch wide for easy filling and for an effortless access to internal components of the sprayer. The piston and diaphragm pump configuration eradicates leaking from the pump and the in-tank removable filter efficiently catches anything that gets by the strainer when filling and fastens to the inlet filter at the piston. Other than that, the Jet Clean is built with a self cleaning pump to keep the removable filter from blocking with undesirable debris. Once purchased, a variety of nozzles are included to help you determine volume of spray or its spray pattern.

Issue with handle
By Jeff on 03/23/2016
The pump handle does not fit very well and is extremely loose even after the bolt is tighten down. Also padding on the back is to thin when your carrying a full load of 4 gallons. Takes lots of pumps to get full pressure.

I agree with other review
By Jeffery on 03/17/2017
the handle stinks. I have normal arms and I cinch the straps up as much as they can go and still I have a hard time with the handle, it's just too far away to be comfortable. The handle remains loose even when bolt is tightened. Half of your pump travel is lost to the looseness. The comfort padding is thin.

Best Backpack Ever Used
By Monique on 07/22/2020
Primary use of this unit will be to apply Avenger AG Burndown Herbicide
We have spoken with Chapin regarding this and they have stated that the Chapin Commercial Duty Backpack Sprayer Jet Clean 4 Gal (63900) will not handle Avenger or any other citrus oil containing product. The best recommendation given is to use one of the least expensive sprayers that you can use as a "throw away" sprayer.

The description states that a variety of nozzles are included to help determine volume of spray or its spray pattern, but doesn't describe the nozzles or state how many. Also, is a replacement wand available?
The Chapin Commercial Duty Backpack Sprayer Jet Clean 4 G comes with an adjustable brass cone nozzle, poly-fan nozzle, and poly-con nozzle. Replacement parts are available for Chapin sprayers.
