I have used this product before and works to keep the water cleaner and give fish more oxygen . when you kill the weeds they take oxygen out of the water..

Didn't work for me, my pond is only about 20'X 50', a stock pond, for cattle, put the hole gal. in it with no effect. The pond was covered with algae and still is.

The Natural Pond Cleaner is used for Pond Muck, Water Moss, and Pond Scum Removal, it is not labeled to control algae so would not effect it as you have noticed.
