How often do I need to use Natural Pond Cleaner?
When first using Natural Pond Cleaner, pour in bacteria weekly for 4 weeks or until desired water or bottom quality is achieved. Continue monthly at half the initial rate to maintain water quality. Usually bacteria will last up to 30 days in the pond; however, rainfall, outflow and evaporation can deplete levels.
How much Natural Pond Cleaner should I use?
One gallon of Natural Pond Cleaner will treat 1 surface acre with an average depth of 4 to 6 feet. A double dose of bacteria is recommended in the spring and fall. Measure your pond properly to make sure enough pond cleaner has been added; however, more then the recommended dose is not harmful.
