Cy-Kick is toxic to bees and fire flies. You would want to be sure to apply when bees are not pollinating. Or in areas that fire flies may not be populating.
These products should not be mixed together. There is no valid reason to mix Cy-Kick CS and Bifen IT together. Bifen IT is a synthetic pyrethroid and Cy-Kick CS already contains a synthetic pyrethroid, so there would be nothing to gain by mixing these products together. Making a pesticide too strong can actually backfire. Areas that are treated with this overly concentrated spray will be repellent and insects will simply avoid the treated areas prolonging the infestation.
No,Cy-Kick CS does not kill roaches on contact. It is a residual product and kills over time. The residual is up to 30 days outdoors and 90 days indoors.
If you are looking for a contact kill, we would recommend using 565 PLUS XLO. This does not have a residual so once the product is dry, it is no longer working.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Our most popular product for scorpions is Cy-Kick CS, which is microencapsulated so it has a long residual, but also packs a punch. There are many good reviews on the Cy-Kick page about how it works on scorpions. We also recommend the following to our customers with scorpions for the most complete treatment.
Non-insecticide methods for scorpion control are:
Harborage Removal- Harborage removal is key to scorpion control and will greatly reduce the numbers of scorpions in the area surrounding the structure, making it far less likely that they will enter. Harborage removal includes eliminating piles of lumber, bricks, and other stacked items that create clusters of tight spaces, elimination of vegetation and other heavy ground coverings near homes and buildings, trimming back tree and shrub limbs from walls and roof, and keeping gutters clear of leaves and other debris.
Exclusion- Scorpions and other pests can be kept out of structures to a large degree by installing tight-fitting screens, weatherstripping around doors and windows, and caulking cracks and crevices.Any of the fogging solutions, like ULD BP 100 could be used to fog for spiders in a crawl space. Any spiders that are exposed at the time of the fogging will be eliminated, but that is it.
For indoor use, instead of fogging we recommend spraying a residual insecticide such as Cy-Kick CS into the cracks and crevices around door and window frames, baseboards, under appliances and in places where cables, pipes and wires enter through the walls.
You can also use Cy-Kick CS to spray around the exterior on the foundation, door and window frames, around places where cables, pipes and wires enter into the structure and any other crack, crevice or hole where insects can gain entry. By using the residual insecticide inside and outside you will be eliminating hidden spiders that come out to hunt and also the insects that they are there to prey on. By eliminating the spiders' food source, you will be forcing the spiders to move out and you will be making the structures less desirable to other spiders looking for new hunting grounds. See our Spider Control Guide for more information about controlling spiders.
Cy-Kick CS, Exciter and Tekko Pro can all be tank mixed and applied together. However Tekko Pro is not labeled for spiders and will not be effective on them. There are no insect growth regulators labeled for spiders.
Yes, Cy-Kick CS would kill exposed termites only as long as there are no edible plants in the garden such as vegetables. If there are edible plants in the area, then you could just pour boiling water on the insects. If there is raw wood around the edge of the bed, then you could treat the wood with Boracare or Timbor and then add a water-sealant to protect the wood from termites.
Yes, Cy-Kick is one of the best products that we have to treat for scorpions. We do recommend that you rotate to other products from time to time. You can rotate with Demand CS, which is another great choice. You have to create a wide barrier with it around your home, much more than you would for regular insects as scorpions' exoskeletons are harder to penetrate.
Cy-Kick CS is a great product and will do a great job towards helping you to get rid of roaches. For best results, we also recommend that you use a roach bait gel to help get rid of roaches in places where you cannot spray, along with an insect growth regulator (IGR) which helps stop the roaches breeding cycle. You may want to consider using one of our Roach Control Kits, as they contain all of these products together. Pets and people need to be kept out of the area while products are being applied, but can return as soon as all surfaces are fully dry. Please take a moment to look over our article on How to Get Rid of Roaches for more information on how to do a complete treatment for roaches.
Cy-Kick CS is an insecticide only which is labeled to be applied over ornamentals and will not harm your flowers when applied as directed.
Cy Kick is labeled for bed bugs but would not be recommended as a sole treatment for bed bug treatment. Please take a moment to review our How to Treat for Bed Bugs for a full step by step guide on how to treat for bed bugs.
