Demand CS is not labeled to be used across open carpeted areas. For inside the home, Demand CS is labeled to spray along baseboards, crack and crevices, and under appliances which is great for most insects but not for carpet beetles. Please take a few minutes to read our How to Control Carpet Beetles article for an in depth explanation of how to control this pest. It is very important that the source of the infestation (where the damaging larva is harboring) is discovered and eliminated, not just the visible adult insects you see wandering around. Until you find out what that is and deal with it you will continue to get more of the carpet beetles emerging from hiding.
There is no valid reason to mix Cy Kick CS and Demand CS together, it would not make either product work better or produce better results, though it could make treated areas repellent to insect lessening the effectiveness of the treatment. We would recommend applying the Cy Kick CS and using glue boards also. Please refer to the article below for additional tips on treatment of scorpions including non-chemical methods that help in addition to the product. For Scorpion control you would want to use either 12ml or 24ml per gallon of water depending on how heavy the infestation is in your area/yard. Demand CS will help prevent scorpion infestations of buildings, treat a band of soil 6 to 10 feet wide around and adjacent to the building. Also treat the building foundation to a height of 2 to 3 feet where pests are active and may find entrance. Treat other insect entry points such as doors, windows, under siding and eaves of structure. Apply in sufficient water to adequately cover the area being treated.
Getting rid of scorpions requires a combination of both chemical and non-chemical measures. Think of non-chemical measures (such as vacuuming, sanitation, harborage removal, and exclusion) as limiting or removing conditions that contribute to the infestation. These measures are largely preventative but scorpion control cannot be achieved without them. The next step is to come in with the real ammunition, chemical pesticides, that do the job of physically wiping out an infestation.
Unfortunantly, we are not currently set up to ship to Canada. Our apologies for any inconveniences this may cause.
Demand CS is labeled for a variety of insects, including Asian Beetles. The key is to treat early enough (early fall) and to apply the product in the right places. Asian beetles enter the structure through cracks and crevices, especially around windows and doors. Be sure to treat these areas thoroughly once a month through November. You should spray Demand CS outdoors around your door frames, window frames, vents, eaves, around the bottom of your foundation, and any other crack or crevice where an insect could gain entry.
Unfortunately, if you are dealing with them in your house right now you will only see limited results. These move into structures to overwinter. They usually squeeze into wall voids, false ceilings, attics and other areas that are inaccessible to people and insecticides. As the heat kicks on in the house, the bugs warm up and start becoming active and emerge from hiding, driving homeowners nuts. Because most folks usually have no idea where the bugs are harboring you can only treat around baseboards, door frames and window frames and hope the insects will emerge where you have sprayed. After they contact the treated areas, it can take several hours for them to die. It is still worth spraying now to get rid of some of the bugs, but you will keep seeing them until spring when they will emerge en masse and leave your home.
First, you need to determine how many gallons of water you will be using. To find out how many gallons of water you need to use you will calculate the square footage of the area to be treated(Dmeand CS recommend 1 gallon of mixed solution 1,000 sq feet). For instance, if you have a 6,000 square foot yard that you plan on treating then you would need to multiply 6 x 0.8 which equals 4.8 – You would then add 4.8 oz of Demand CS to the reservoir. Once you add the desired amount of Demand CS to the reservoir, then you would add water to the line selected (6 gallon line mark on the reservoir). You would then set the dial on the top of the Chapin Hose End Sprayer to 6 gallons. Do not turn water on when adjusting the spray nozzle. Next, select the desired spray pattern and then spray until the reservoir is empty.
