    Q
Will Demon WP or Demon Max work for Carpenter Bee's?
I have an older cedar sided home that attracts Carpenter Bee's by the hundreds each spring. So far I haven't found a product that will keep them away.
    A
Both Demon Max and Demon WP will kill carpenter bees. As long as you have a residual insecticide labeled to treat carpenter bees, it will kill them.

    Q
How much Demon Max do I use, how do I mix, and how often should I apply?
Water bug/roach control for mobile home
    A

Per the product label, you would mix 1/2 oz to 1 oz per gallon of water.

For indoors Apply as a crack-and-crevice or spot application to areas where these pests hide, such as baseboards, corners, storage areas, closets, around water pipes, doors and windows, attics and eaves, behind and under refrigerators, cabinets, sinks, furnaces, and stoves, the underside of shelves, drawers and similar areas.

Barrier Treatment for Pests around Structures:
Apply Demon Max as a 0.1% emulsion (1/2 fl oz per gallon of water) to a band of soil and
vegetation 6-10 ft. wide around and adjacent to the structure. Also, treat the foundation of the structure to a height of 2-3 ft. Use a treatment volume of 2-10 gal. per 1000 sq. ft.

Reapply every 1-3 months as pest pressure builds back up.

We also recommend using an insect growth regulator such as Gentrol IGR and a roach bait gel such as the Advion Roach bait gel for faster and more complete control. We also offer a Roach Bait Kit, that contains all of the components you need for a complete roach control program; Demon WP, Advion Roach Bait Gel and Gentrol Point Source

    Q
What is the difference in using Demon Max and using Demon LP?
I see the concentration of the active ingredient is much less in Demon Max. Does that mean it is "weaker"?
    A
Demon Max is a newer product that is in liquid form instead of water soluble powder like Demon WP. It's label is a little more broad as far as where you can apply the product.

  • Asked by Jill from Spring, Tx

    Q
    Demon vs. Demon Max?
I have been using Demon around my yard and home the past 2 years, but I am wondering which would be more effective for overall bug control. I would like to be sure that I am blocking out termites at the same time too.
    A
Both products contain the same active ingredient, but the Demon Max is at a higher concentration.  Also, the Demon Max is a liquid and the normal Demon is a powder.  The powder can leave a white residue where the liquid will not as much.  For treating yards, the Demon Max liquid would be a better way to go and will last a little longer in the sun.  Both are great products, but if we had to choose, we would say the Demon Max is the better of the two.

  • Asked by Karen from Kerens, Texas
    03/19/2013
    Q
Since Demon Max stains, what color is it?
    A
The product is a very light tan. It is the oil itself in the product that will stain so in most cases it leaves an oily residue behind which can stain old paint or old siding.

    Q
Which is better, Talstar P or Demon Max?
I am trying to control Ants, Mosquitoes, Wasps, Bees, Flea and Ticks. I used Talstar last year and I am just curious on which is better.
    A
Both are going to offer a good kill and a long lasting residual though initially Demon Max may have a faster kill because it is oil based. On the other hand because Demon Max is oil based it could stain old paint/siding and it does have an odor.

    Q
How much Demon Max is needed to treat x amount of square feet?
I am just wondering how much to order. I have decks and back up to a large vegetation on a veloway. How often do I need to treat etc. that will help me determine how much to order. Thanks
    A

Higher volumes of water may be needed if mulch or leaf litter is present or dense foliage exists. House siding may be treated if boxelder bugs, elm leaf beetles, earwigs, silverfish
or other similar pests are present. Reapply every 1-3 months as pest pressure builds back up.

  • Asked by Bobby from Nashville
    02/12/2013
    Q
What is the ratio of Demon Max for mosquitoes and how does it compare?
how many oz of demon max do you use per gallon of water for residual mosquito control, how long does it leave a risidual? and how does demon compare to bifen it?
    A
You should use 1/2 fl oz of Demon Max per gallon of water for mosquito control and you will need to reapply once per month to maintain control. Bifen IT and Demon Max will have very comparable results for mosquito control though Bifen IT is water based and non-staining and is more widely used by professionals for mosquito control.
