The shelf life of Demon Max is 3-5 yearsafter the release date and if stored in an area where the temperature is moderated and it is dry.
Demon Max is an oil based product labeled mostly for use outdoors, with labeling for cracks and crevices indoors. Demon Max can cause staining because of the oil base that it contains. If you are looking for scorpion control for your home you could use Demand CS, Cy-Kick CS or Onslaught FastCap.
With the updated product label instructions on products such as Demon Max, you should not spray the entire house. We do suggest avoiding spraing the glass window panes as Demon Max is oil based and when oil based products can be hard to remove from glass, especially if the glass is hot. All outdoor applications must be limited to spot or crack-andcrevice treatments only, except for the following permitted uses:
1. Treatment to soil or vegetation around structures;
2. Applications to lawns, turf, and other vegetation;
3. Applications to building foundations, up to a maximum height of 3 feet above grade;
4. Applications to underside of eaves, soffits, doors, or windows permanently protected from rainfall by a covering, overhang, awning, or other structure;
5. Applications around potential pest entry points into buildings, when limited to a surface band not to exceed one inch in width;
6. Applications made through the use of a coarse, lowpressure spray to only those portions of surfaces that are directly above bare soil, lawn, turf, mulch or other vegetation, as listed on this label, and not over an impervious surface, drainage or other condition that could result in
runoff into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters, or surface waters, in order to control occasional invaders or aggregating pest.
For residential lawns, apply Demon Max at the rate of 0.33-0.65 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft in a volume of water sufficient for uniform coverage such as 3-20 gallons of water. Please refer to the LAWN APPLICATION DILUTION TABLE on the product label as well as our Indoor Flea Kit to treat the inside of the home. Demon Max would not be used indoors for flea control.
Due to Demon Max being an oil based product it has the potential to stain almost any surface depending on how pourous it is and how heavy it is applied. If you wish to use Demon Max we would highly suggest doing a small spot test first to make sure it wont stain or leave an undesirable residue on any surface you plan to treat. If you would like a water based product that would cover a wide range of insects and that wouldnt stain, you could go with something like Suspend SC.
Yes, if you were to pressure wash an area where Demon Max was applied, you likely will need to reapply. If you can, pressure wash first, and then apply the Demon Max after the area has dried.
Demon Max is not labeled to be used in vehicles. We would recommend that you vacuum thoroughly and then apply something like D-Force HPX that is specifically labeled for use in automobiles and for spider control.
While Demon Max can have some knock down properties, it is not considered a contact kill product. It is a residual insecticide that once dry will last on the surface 3-6 months indoors (although you would respray more frequently for an active infestation) and 30-60 days outdoors depending on how the elements effect it over time.
Demon Max is labeled for flies and should be applied 25 ft away from any bodies of water. It may only provide temporary relief for where the insect lands. For the Buffalo Gnat nest, you want something that will provide an instant knock down like CB- 80 aerosol.
Demon Max should not be applied indoors for flea treaments. Conquer can be applied with an IGR (such as Precor IGR or Archer IGR) for fleas indoors. For effective control, you should reapply Demon WP or Demon Max (they each contain the same active ingredient- WP will dry with a white film to surfaces treated) every 4 weeks through the carpenter bee season. Usually carpenter bees come twice a year, once in the spring and then again in early fall. Demon Max would be applied once a month outside and once every 90 days inside.
It will be difficult for any product to last over 30 days in extreme heat and direct sunlight, however, we would recommend an encapsulated product for the longest residual. Demon Max has an oil base, while the Bifen IT is a water-based insecticide (Bifen XTS is oil-based). It may last a bit longer than Bifen IT, but would have similar residual to Bifen XTS. Great options for longer residual in more severe weather would be either Suspend Polyzone or Cyzmic CS.

Demon Max is mixed at a rate of 1/2 to 1 fl oz per gallon of water which is how it is best mixed. For a pint you would use 1/8 of either of those rates, a very small amount.
No, Demon Max is not labeled for use on fruit trees or anything edible and will not treat disease. We would recommend contacting your local cooperative extension office to determine what is causing the leaves to curl on your lime tree so that we can recommend an appropriate product for you.
