    Brown spiders with hair and large crickets
    My apartment is old and half under ground. Near a river. There are tons of cracks and holes. I have a dog. Any of the products work better than others and are any harmful to my dog?
    A
    We would recommend Demon WP for your problem.  Demon WP is a powder you mix with water and apply using a one gallon hand pump sprayer.  Demon WP is excellent for the cracks and holes in the basement and around the apartment because powder sticks to porous surfaces.  It is labeled for inside and outside use, and it is very safe for pets.  Once you have applied the product and allowed it time to dry, usually 30-45 minutes, it is perfectly safe for your pet to re-enter the room or to go outside.  It is also labeled for just about any pest you would have a problem with.  The 1lb container will last for years and will make enough solution to treat every 3 months for years to come.

    Can you spray Demon WP on Fruit Trees and Vegetables?
    I have Peach trees, Tangerine Trees, Blueberry Bushes, Tomato Vines and Cucumbers. Can Demon WP be applied to them safely?

    No, Demon WP cannot be used on any edible vegetation. We do carry Acephate 75SP, Cyonara Lawn and Garden and Malathion 57%, each of which can be used on different fruits and vegetables. Malathion has the broadest label and is our most popular product for customers that need to treat fruit and vegetable plants. Always read the product label to be sure the plants you need to treat are listed. We also recommend contacting your local cooperative extension office to seek advice on the best products for plants and insects in your region.

    If you don't use the Demon WP mixed with water, will it still be good to use later?

    Do not mix Demon WP until you are ready to use it and never mix more than you can use at one time. Demon WP should be used within 24 hours after being mixed with water.

    Can Demon WP be used inside the house as well as outside?

    Absolutely. Demon WP is labeled for outdoors as well as indoors and on your lawn too. It is safe for use indoors when used according to the product label. We always recommend that you treat while kids and pets are outside or in another room.  After the treatment is dry, which usually takes about 30 minutes, it is perfectly safe for kids and pets to re-enter the room.

    Cockroaches are coming in the hotel room from outside. Please tell me which product is best?
    I have a 42 room hotel, and I'm having problem in five to six rooms. I find dead (big) cockroaches more or less everyday. Please advise me on which product I can use.

    The best product we have for the larger cockroaches, or American cockroaches, is a product called Demon WP.  Demon WP is a wettable powder that you mix with water in a one gallon sprayer.  Wettable powders are easier for the roaches to pick up on their bodies, and they pack more of a punch which is what you need when treating for larger roaches. Since the larger roaches come from the outside, you want to concentrate your spray on the outside of the building.  Spray 2 to 3 feet up onto the building and 2 to 3 feet out onto the ground.  You can also treat inside the rooms where you have issues.  Demon WP is not only labeled to treat roaches, but almost any other insects you may have a problem with including spiders, ants, silverfish, etc.  You should apply once a month for best results.

    Will Demon WP work on all types of ants?
    I have sugar, red and carpenter ants. Will Demon WP get rid of all of them?
    A
    Demon WP will kill just about any insect, including all types of ants.  However, Demon WP will only kill the ants that walk over where you treat around your home.  It will not take care of the queen and other ants back where the colony is.  The key to ant control is to use a product that will not kill the ants around your home on contact like Demon WP will, but a product that they will take back to the colony and kill the queen and other ants at the source.  Our most popular product for this is Termidor SC.  Or, you can use ant baits that the ants will eat and take back to the colony.  Otherwise, you will be battling the ant colony all summer long.

    I have been using Demon WP and now it's not effective on roaches. What do I need to switch to?
    A

    Demon WP contains one of the most effective active ingredients for roach control, and it should work just fine for most roach infestations. If you have a current infestation however, insecticide sprays alone may not be enough. It is recommended that you use an IGR such as Gentrol to help halt the breeding process and a roach bait such as Advion Roach Bait Gel to help eliminate the roaches in places that cannot be sprayed. We have both of these products available in a our Roach Control Kit #1. If you want to try a different spray insecticide, Phantom would be a good choice. Phantom is an insecticide that kills cockroaches (and many other pests) through a powerful non-repellent, transferable active ingredient. Pests cant even detect Phantom, so they walk right over it and then spread it to other insects hidden behind walls or in their home colony, killing other pests they come in contact with. The one draw back to Phantom is that pests can take around a week to die after coming into contact with treated surfaces.

    Sanitation also plays a key role in roach infestations. Even the best products on the market cannot over come poor sanitation. Please read the following article to learn some hints and tips on sanitation : Cockroach Quick Tips

    Is Demon WP effective for getting rid of spiders and webs on Asian Jasmine?

    Demon WP is one of the most products effective for spider control. Since we are not experts on plants, we are not familiar with Asian jasmine or how fragile it might be. We can tell you that Demon WP can be sprayed on most plants with no ill effect.

    Why is the Demon WP 1lb jar not for sale in South Carolina, and what can I purchase that is about that same?

    Some state governments have placed restrictions on the types of professional products that homeowners in their state can use.     Will Demon WP kill tarantulas?
    I have tarantulas in my yard and in the wash room. Will this product kill them?
    A
    If the tarantulas are sprayed directly with the Demon WP or come in direct contact with the treated area, they will, given enough time, die. Demon WP does not offer an immediate knockdown, but instead a long residual. Spiders in general are harder to kill than other insects because their bodies are higher off the ground and they do not groom their legs(the part of them that actually comes into contact with the insecticide) and therefore take longer to receive a lethal dose of the insecticide. Spraying Demon WP will also help to get rid of the insects that spiders feed on and that will help to stop new spiders from moving in. Indoors, spray around all baseboards, door frames, window frames, under appliances, in closets and storage rooms and in areas where utilities enter into the structure. Outdoors you should spray around the bottom of the foundation, on the ground adjacent to the foundation, door frames, window frames and places where the utilities enter into the structure.

    Demon WP can be used indoors and there are directions on the product label instructing you how to do so. Demon WP may cause a white powdery residue on dark surfaces that some people find unacceptable.

    I've heard products like these break down with high UV exposure. How long does this take?
    My house and deck get full sun, and I'm spraying weekly with this product due to the stink bug problem. Is this over kill?
    A
    The biggest factor in pesticides not lasting a long time is definitely UV light.  Each product will have different life spans depending on whether it is a powder like Demon WP, or liquid like our popular Talstar P product. Demon WP and other wettable powders should give a good 30 day residual even in direct sunlight. There are some liquid that will last 60 to 90 days, but they do not have the punch that Demon WP has. Treating weekly might be a little much, but since stink bugs are so bad right now we would recommend treating every 2 to 3 weeks at least since the numbers of stink bugs are so high right now.

    How much Demon WP should I use in a one galllon pump sprayer to kill stink bugs?
    We just purchased your Demon WP to kill stink bugs, but this bug isn't listed on the label instructions. Should we use one packet or two packets in our one gallon sprayer? Our house is covered with these awful bugs.

    For a quicker knock down, you should use two packets per gallon of water for your first application.  After the first application, you can use one packet per gallon of water for your follow up applications.  As soon as the weather turns cold for good, you should not see the stink bugs anymore.

    Demon WP with allergic child
    My son has an allergy to pyrethroids requiring ER treatment in the past. He was getting ill and sent home from school. I found out later they are spraying Demon WP inside several times a month. They spray in the bathroom and changing room via broadcast. Why would it be safe when dry if it can persist inside for 3 or more months? How can the area be cleaned, so my son will be safe at school?!! What is safer to use inside? The teacher also had severe breathing problems the last time they sprayed.

    We can not give advice on sprays that would work for sensitive individuals or in schools. Each state and county have their own regulations that govern what they can and cannot use in schools. You can check with your local school board for their list of pesticides that can be used indoors.     Does Demon WP wash off the outside of a house in the rain?
    We are trying to fight stink bugs.

    Demon WP typically leaves a 30 day residual even if it rains. The places on your house where the product is protected from direct rain contact like against the house that may be somewhat sheltered by the roof line, will last longer than other places.

    Can I mix Nylar or Gentrol with it or combine with Acephate PCO for better results?

    Demon WP is a great choice for German roach control. You can and should mix Gentrol IGR with Demon WP for best results for roach control. We also recommend using a roach bait gel such as Advion Roach Bait Gel to help get rid of the roaches that are hiding in wall voids. We have put all of these products together in a roach bait kit for your convenience it is called The Roach Control Kit #2
